Topic: Professor Layton & the Diabolical Box?

I bought it yesterday. F***ing fantastic. The style is absolutely incredible, and the cutscenes are beautiful, and well acted (aside from Luke, who's voice is as annoying as ever). The new "memo" ability alone makes it superior than the first one, and there's a lot more puzzles that directly tie into the story--another improvement.

My only complaint is a pretty significant one--I have a DSi, it's compatible with WiFi access points that the regular DS can't handle. Because this is a game designed for the regular DS, I can't access the Wifi for this game (I have a Wireless router in my house that I use), which means no weekly puzzles for me. Once I beat every puzzle in the game, I'll have nothing left to do.

Aside from that, though, it's a high-class puzzle game, and I'd give it my highest reccomendation.

I don't know about Professor Layton. It looks okay, but are they long games?

In the first game my save file says 20 hours and 39 mins!

But it's a really great game, right? Really fun? The first is only $20...maybe I'll try it. It IS Nintendo. It has to be good.

Let me tell you Professor Layton is one of those games you never want to end, but you REEEALLY want to finish it. Graphics: Amazing. Plot: Amazing. Puzzles: Awesome. Trust me. It is good.

Wow i think six hours are pretty good! You include the Wi-Fi download and all the extra? Escape Princess 3 and the Hat in the River was a pain for me (sorry i don't know the english name).

Yeah it took me like 20 hours as well. This one seems like it's going to be even longer. I've been playing it a LOT and I still haven't even made a dent in the story. Then again, I tend to work on every puzzle that comes my way until I figure it out. REALLY recomend this game if you can spare the cash.

One of the best games of this generation and possibly the best game on the DS. Not to over-hype it for you

I am already 5 hours 37 minutes into the first game and have done 45 /45 puzzles. I am in the middle of chapter three. Having a blast though

Graphically and presentation-wise, this game is a straight 10.

When will we be getting a review of this? It's rather late as it is...
