Topic: Professor Layton & the Diabolical Box?

We just got in the review copy of Professor Layton & the Diabolical Box today, so I was wondering how many of you are picking this one up later this month? I didn't get a chance to play the first game in the series, so I'm looking forward to giving this one a go after I finish up with Fossil Fighters.

I plan on getting this game at a later date. BTW how is Fossil Fighters coming along?

I've barely touched it since I first tried it out. I'm working on Rock 'n' Roll Climber now and then I have Flipnote Studios to review. No rest for the wicked.

I planned to get one, and I still do (seeing as how I can also get 10 more coins on Club Nintendo). Hope it's good!

I am picking it up once it is released.

Corbie, you are so lucky! I wish I could be playing The Diabolical Box right now! I am so envious of you! I am definitley going to be getting it! The ending of the last game just left me hanging and I have been waiting for that code that is supposed to be in the instruction booklet of The Diabolical Box so I can unlock the mysterious secret door in the Curious Village! You REALLY should play the first one! It is great!

I will be getting it -- maybe on Amazon. The first one is good.

@Corbie: Thanks again for the code! I really appreciate your help! I thought the code was all that I needed to unlock that hidden room in the first game but it's like you said; the code will only work once I get my copy of The Diabolical Box and register it into my DS. Too bad, I was really anxious to unlock it today but I guess that I'll just have to be patient and wait. No problem, the game is almost here anyway!

Well I'm looking forward to getting started on this one after I finish up with Fossil Fighters. I'll get this one reviewed as soon as possible. I gave it a sneak peek last night and I can't wait to get back to it now.

The first one was fun but I got completely stuck and ran out of those hint credit things, I know I could just use a guide online but that would kind of ruin it for me, so I've left it for months, I'm sure the sequel will be just as fun but I think I'll leave it alone, way too difficult to figure all those puzzles out for myself, at least that's how i feel about it.

My wife loved the first one, so I'm buying this one for her as a surprise. She's not much into videogames so doesn't know sequel is oming soon.

Definitely day one purchase. Can't wait to feed my puzzle junkie habit.

Definite insta-buy for me. The first game was so excellent. I just wish they'd localize the sequels faster!

I tried the game out last night, and it's really good. I'm definitely going back and getting the previous release as well.

Nice job getting the review copy. I'm dying to get the game! I still can't believe it's only a few days away. In case you can't already tell, I'm a huge fan of the original and I'm now officially a Professor Layton fan because of it. I will be buying all the Professor Layton titles that come our way, for a certainty. I'm just so happy we're finally getting the sequel. Hopefully, the third one won't take as long and Nintendo won't deny any presence of it like they did with this one even after the guys at Level-5 said they were bringing it over.

Also looking forward to hearing what you think about Fossil Fighters.

@ Corbie: Did you get the version with the extra wooden Diabolical Box that lets you solve a real life puzzle? I saw that somewhere...

I don't believe so. This one looks like a standard retail release. It does have some code in the instructions that will allow you to open up something hidden in the first game.

And I'm just about to start writing up Fossil Fighters. I went back and played some more on it as I hadn't paid much attention to the multiplayer parts of the game.

I'm surprised no one started an "official" thread about this game. It has an interesting story so far and I loved the puzzles

day 1 for sure! loved the prequel....when i had a chance to steal it from my GF...cause she loves it even more
