Topic: Pokemon Black & White

Yeah I'm at the second gym too...the, squirrel thing killed all my Pokemon easily. T_T
So I'm running around trying to level them all up to 20. lol

Team Update:
Just beat the 3rd Gym easilly, and my team as of now is:
Servine (Dragoon) Lv. 25
Tranquill (Pidgey) Lv. 25
Scraggy (Rusty) Lv. 20
Panpour (Diddy Kong) Lv. 24

Picked it up on a whim today. It's my first Pokemon game and, aside from the crappy script localization, it's an amazing game so far. Very addicting. Beat my first gym guy.

The battle music is amazing sounds a lil like Mario Party music.

I gotta stop visiting this thread, it's driving me mad.

Honestly, this game smacks the crap out of Diamond and Pearl (maybe even Ruby and Sapphire! ). To anyone who has a Blitzle: Is it's defense generally crappy? I mean, the nature it has boosts special attack and decreases speed but I don't see why it's defense and sp. defense is only 15 while the Pokemon is level 19.

Many of the tunes sound very familar to Ruby & sapphire tunes, is that a clue as to what the next pokemon game is gonna be??

After taking care of the Plasma doods I spotted a shaking grass tile. I figure it was part of the story so I ignored it and it turns out it wasn't. An NPC a few mins later told me a shaking grass contains a rare pokemon. >.< Oh well guess next time i be ready.

Usually that's an Audino, a pokémon similar to Red and Blue's Chansey.

BTW, by far my favourite new pokémon has to be Darmanitan. It's one of the best Fire types I ever used.

@lielie: The shaking grass patches are well worth exploring, they often contain Audino. It's not such a great 'mon to have on your team, but defeating them nets you bags of Exp Points. Pokémon just got itself a Metal Slime. You can infact simpy run around near a grassy area until you see a shaking patch, then enter it to fight Audino (or another fairly rare 'mon). It's a good way to grind levels.

@turtlelink: Blitzle's defenses aren't so hot, but it's fast and has great physical attack (you're not running a great nature for it there), particularly when it evolves. It's effectively the electric equivilant of Ponyta and Rapidash.

ZOMG I found a shiny Lillipup!!! Training all my Pokes wasn't waisting my time at all heh.

@lielie, thats how I found Audino and Whimsicott.

Yea i found Audino a few hours ago. The fact that he/she can appear on almost any grass patch makes this poke not as rare.
On another note here a fuzzy pic of my shiny Lillipup: That orange like pixel is the star that shows that its a shiny.

My Team update:
Oshawott, Pansar,Munna,& Timburr, (Their all Lv20)
I found a Sawk in Pinwheel Forest, it pretty strong but, I don't think it evolves, so I'll stick with Timburr.
I haven't evolve my Oshawott because, it will learn moves faster, if it stays unevolve.
My Lillipup evolve but, it lost it Pickup ability, so now it useless to me

I think this has to be the best Pokemon game yet. And I luckily stumbled upon Tirtouga's fossil earlier than expected and rushed two towns backward to revive the fossil lol

Haha, I did too. It was in that Wellspring Cave and as soon as I entered the cave to meet up with Cheren to fight Team Proton, there was a dust cloud brewing on the ground where I stepped- then boom! Drilbur appears. It wasn't a Pokemon I had thought of catching, but since I only had Oshawott and Pansear, I decided just to catch it.

Ok I dont know if its the hype or maybe the fact that its all new with a new setting and new pokemon but I was thinking of picking this one up the only thing is I can only get one of the versions right now. The last Pokeman game I played was the very first one on GB which was the Red version.

My question is is it like Pokemon Red and Blue where it really doesnt matter which version you get just each one has different pokemon? Or is like one version easier than the other? Or is the storyline different in each version?
