Topic: Petit Computer

I'm putting off all my current projects to work on my PTC art contest on the wiki. I can't promise anythung yet, because I'm working with things that are rather unstable with Petit Computer.

Which do you think would be the best name for a video game; Incavalux or jusr Cavalux?

@Bluerobin2 Incavalux sounds good to me. And what all are you doing that's unstable?

@Pootrick2 please don't post anything that's not related to Petit Computer in some way. Saying that you're on vacation is very off-topic.

@Xtremetdifan sort of, maybe, probably... Or do sort of a "your own" thing of Warriors, for example my warrior name is Icetalon, I wouldn't fit that in ThunderClan because of another cat in there.

I was playing MM2 first demo and Metal Man caught me off guard, and I thought of something.

I chose the Megaman series because I not only enjoy them, but also because with every attempt in the past to make games, it had always been RPGs. I had never attempted a platformer before.

As for choosing MM2 specifically over the rest, it was because I understood that on a technical level, it didnt use capabilities that couldn't be done in PTC (like scanline effects), but showed a decent jump above the first.

I've read a bit and didnt like it.In my opinion, the Leven Thumps, Franchise is better.

Messing with a few variables. Why? It's a secret! Just know that it'll be awesome, k?

No prob on these forums everyone sorta helps out each other. If you want a sprite to be somewhere dont use locate use SPOFS
Example:
0,50,50,0 (Sprite control #)(x axis location)(y axis location) ( time it takes to get to x,y) If the last number is 0 you can spset a sprite qnd it'll instantly be at (x,y).

I was wondering if it would be possible to make a simplified version of Sibelius for Petit Computer. There is only 8 channels that could be used in a program, so that is one limiting factor that I know about. Does anyone have a good idea of where to start (if this is feasible at all)? I have never had any classes on programing in college, so I'm not sure what I would need to have a grasp of to accomplish this.

I actually have Cave Story currently open, but I'll fight this frog, save and exit. I just need Ranger sprites because I'm adding the Ranger early, in alpha 1.0 I don't want people fighting as Warrior-only and not liking it. Ranger in alpha 1.0 instead of alpha 1.1, and in 1.1 I'm gonna do bugfixes and add something, not the Mage, I'm adding that in 1.2 as planned. Alpha 1.2, of course.
I cannot wait until I have this finished and ready to deliver in alpha 1.0 because by then people can enjoy it for a while before they get ready for another update, so then I can start one of my best ideas so far.

I HAVE MULTIPLE LAYERS WORKING IN MINECRAFT DS!!! (And all by myself. Mom will be so proud. ) Anyway, all I did was draw, then simulate a jump, and draw a second time. Easy! It's TWICE as laggy, so from now on, I will release 2 versions. A and B. (This next one, I will release Beta 1.2a and 1.2b). A is 1 layer. B is 2 layers.

NOTE - The second layer is FAKE. It cannot be by itself and is the same block underneath it (so no striped houses). I know it's pointless, but it gives more of a Minecrafty feel, finally having actual sized blocks.
