So I made Petit Smash bros "Fan art" And the owner didn't even notice! Where is @Gimmiemorecoinz anyways?
I seriously want everyones honest opinion on it though. I want to see if my Graphical skills are getting better and more appreciated. I also really want to know how well I am at text imitation and transformation. Example, Petit Smash Bros Is adapted from the super smash bros logo. This will really help my game and software visual abilities. To me, a game is not only about the coding and gameplay. Its also about visuals and graphical moods,
Theres also music, in which my next question comes in. Should I get Rytmic to make music? I can record it unto a computer via the headphone port, then convert it to mml. Or is there a free decent computer program out there that makes mml compatible with petit computer?
@randomous Thanks for the reply on COL. Can tou load multiple COL files for say, Backgrounds at once? Lets say hypothetically that I need to have multiple BG tiles that do update, that each kind need their own COL file.
Yea, most people will just glimpse at this long post or not read it at all
@Bluerobin2 COL files update all 256 colors for a given sheet... I think (it's never not done that for me). If you've got 16 palettes that are all customized, you can save them all as one COL file and load it up. You can't load a COL file, set a BG tile to palette 0, then load another COL file and hope to get a different BG tile with a different 0 palette. If you change the palette, all tiles that use that palette will be affected.

What long post?
Your technical art skill is fine. The design/arrangement can be a bit more dynamic. If somebody would do such art for me, I'd be thrilled!
Rytmic for Petit Computer? Forget it! Two totally different systems!
Why would you want to load multiple COL files at once? If you want multiple COL palette, just store the values in array/string and copy!

Oh, and also, I made a converter to turn the DATA statements for textures into a saveable GRP file.

I made a statement that says:
NUM=RND(5)
IF NUM$=="1" THEN PRINT "HI"
IF NUM$=="2" THEN PRINT "HELLO"
IF NUM$=="3" THEN PRINT "BYE"
and up to 5. but its not printing anything. I need help

RND return an integer. Try this:
NUM=RND(5)
IF NUM==0 THEN...
IF NUM==1 THEN...
you get the point. Ugh, if only PTCom had SWITCH CASE statements...

So anyways im new, ive been following this for a while. btw @boot i had the same problem with my dsi. (ether screen is off and wont hold a charge vary long.) you have to quickly go in and format it. (Sorry if this is too off-topic)
@bluerobin2: Great pic for Petit Smash Brothes. Keep up the good work.
Anyways, should there be a bank of Char images for generic use somewhere (prehaps the english wikia)? I ask because I beleve in the adage 'if you built (and advertise) it, thay will come (to use it)'. There is already a bank of sprites for War type games. Where are our Western sprites? Ninja and samuri sprites? Pirates? Aliens? Western fantacy monsters? Eastern fantacy monsters? I can go on some more, but you get my point by now.
Also be aware with RND is that it not only returns integers (meaning no fraction), but it returns a number between (and including) 0 and n-1, where 'n' is the value you place as the parameter, so if you did RND(9), it would return an integer between 0 and 8, inclusive. If you place a number that has a fractional as the parameter for RND, it will round that number down to integer format, and return a number based on the information above.
