Now that this highly anticipated DSiWare game is released, share your thoughts. Also, if anyone finds any gameplay videos please share those here as well because they appear to be non-existent on the internet right now.

There aren't even any videos on the Nintendo Channel for Mighty Milky Way, there are for the other DSiware games that came out I wonder why no videos for this game. I wan't to get this game but I'm gonna wait for the 3DS eshop upate.

This is a copy of the first impressions I left on the Mighty Milky Way fan page:

Oh my god. This is just brilliant! It's like a platformer had a baby with a graphics-based puzzle game! And was Luna speaking French? I learned quite a bit during high school, and I could interpret a few words.

Other than that, I've made it to 2-4 (stopped by a dead battery) but I have to say, wow, this could be that last big hit on DSiWare before the 3DS eShop comes out.

Great job, guys!

I want to know if it's worth the 800 points, because I didn't quite feel like Mighty Flip Champs was in comparison to all the good 500-point games out there.

It's pretty solid, but not without its faults and certainly not WayForward's best work. If I were you, I'd wait for NL or another site to give it a review. At 800 points, there are better puzzle games. In my opinion, of course.

As it is, you have to replay stages upwards of 5 times just because the game doesn't allow you to gauge where Luna or the enemies will go flying when a planet is destroyed. They really needed to put a dotted line that would show her path on the top screen, because it's impossible for the player to use the pin-point accuracy required to complete the stages without random luck. It's far too unpredictable, even with the zoom-out feature.

If you want a full in-depth review, you can check mine out, since I've yet to see any others released yet.

Bit of bad news.... my camera can't really focus of close-up images as well as it did so I'll have to wait until someone gets something up on YouTube.

Guys, Mighty Milky Way is freakin' awesome. You play as a French-speaking green alien girl who's arch nemesis is a T-Rex. How could someone not want this game?

I beat the first world and the gameplay is fun, visuals are pretty, soundtrack is great, and it is just crazy fun. I can see why scypher would want a pointer to see where Luna is going (they do have a little arrow thing on the map so you can predict where she is going to go though), but I didn't mind a little bit of trial and error. I think he's being too harsh on it, it really is a great game. As great as MFC was, right now I'm having a lot more fun with this one.

Check out my classy comics.

There's one level in particular (I think it's 3-6) that absolutely demands a pointer. Trial and error got me through the other stages but this one is ridiculous. At the end, you need to utilize a spike-covered planet's gravitational pull to get through a tight gap with an electric fence of the other side. The distance between the goal and where you are is pretty huge, making it extremely hard to judge the exact location. It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to spend several minutes of preparation time just to get to that luck-based segment. These situations are far too frequent and the only way to get past them is to hope for the best, even though you know exactly how to solve the problem. Not to mention these situations damage the replay value, discouraging you from playing old stages again. Different strokes though, I guess.

And yeah, I've seen the pointer thing, but it doesn't really help too much. I feel this is a good game with a really cool style, but not up to the standards of MFC or Shantae. It's awesome when it works, but the times it does are too few for my liking.

What disappointed you about Mighty Flip Champs?

It felt sluggish, and I didn't like the stages that had more than a few screens to flip between, and the game wasn't all that long. It was a good game, but there are cheaper games I like a lot better. Honestly, I would have sooner paid 800 points for Boxlife or Aura Aura Climber.

I don't know how many of you get emails from WayForward, but I just got one that says exactly this:

"Everyone freak out! Mighty Milky Way is now available — Nab your copy today and start basting Luna across the galaxy!

Team Milky"

Then I read it again.

"start basting Luna across the galaxy!"

Then I laughed heartily.

Mighty Flip Champs was great but it was too hard for me to finish. I'm pretty bad at puzzly games.

I may pick up Mighty Milky Way in the future but it will probably be after I buy a 3DS.

Is this game more puzzle or platformer? The music sounds really catchy. I have no idea what Luna is saying but it sounds neat. I'm still debating if I should get mighty flip champs or this game? Maybe I'll get both but I'm actually leaning more towards Milky way. It looks alot more fun. Flip champs seems like it'll get kinda dull.

I'd say it's 75% platforming, 25% puzzling. I enjoyed both "Mighty" titles, but I think you're headed in the right direction by purchasing Milky Way first. In Flip Champs, the main element is flipping pages, with gameplay outside of that element treated as merely a means to an end. In MW, there's more attention paid to making everything enjoyable IMO.
