Ah, the prizes in Shantae aren't even worth playing this game at all for. Just a couple of gems, the same kind you get for defeating enemies. It did give me a head start on buying some magic though.
You shouldn't need to be bribed by the rewards in shantae:RR to get this. It's (IMO) the best game on the service despite how hard it it (I'm still stuck on 4-7) but this may change when cave story and shantae:RR are released in eu.

That's a relief. I do want to beat MFC eventually, but I doubt I'll ever feel the need to go and get all the S rankings.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
@:LuWiiGi: Not to difficult imho. I didnt have any trouble getting any of the "S" rankings on the final world but that may be due to the fact that by that time i'd gotten use to the puzzles.. It was more relaxing then anything else. Oh, as for the skull-skull level its mostly a little bit from each of the worlds with a "WTF" moment thrown in for good measure.
Cool, thanks. Like many others, I'm having trouble on 4-7. Like on MvsDK3, some levels are just overwhelming and you don't know where to begin.
EDIT: I just beat 4-7 courtesy of the Gamespot forum, and I'm now on 5-1. I've tried it once and I got crushed, but it looks like a pretty easy level. I can't wait to complete it.
Oh man, Skull-Skull is a crazy level! I'm up to the "WTF moment" Cheapo mentioned (the part where you walk on thin air) and I keep dying there. I love the spacey theme of Skull-Skull and I also love how there are like 50 pages.

Start by walking of the right side of the platform which will active the red switch then walk of the left side of the platform to end up on the red block. Walk off the platform to the left and F while falling to make it to the portal on the 2nd page. F twice then once more to make it to page five. Get on the red block and jump off to the portal below to active the red switch. Fall off the platform to end up trapped within the red boxes. F twice and hit then yellow switch followed by dropping off that platform to the next portal. After you make it to the single yellow platform fall off to the next portal and make it to the bottom yellow block on the yellow block stairs. Fall and F to make it to the brown platform on page 2. F and head up the ladder so to the blue platform. F to grab the pig-cow and go through the next portal making sure you don't miss you next F that would cause you to die. Atfer you make that F you'll be able to take your time with the next F because the following 2 portals are looped together which will give time to F onto the blue platform. F off the blue platform to go through the next portal and make it to the bottom of the yellow block off stairs once more. Fall and F to make it to the brown platform then F once more to make it to the next page. Use the ladder to make it on the next platform on the left side of the screen. F and climb the next ladder then fall through the portal. F and save Fishman!
Hope this helps as it should get you an "S" ranking on this level.
helpful tip: on skull-skull on the second screen. climb the ladder and stay between the two blocks and then flip and keep flipping until there's solid ground beneath you. Helps skip a lot of climbing. @Luwiigi as for the walking on air screen. look at the other screen-follow the path. walk on red, climb on turqoise, and fall on purple.
@armoredghor Thanks for the help, but I already figured it out. Your other tip, though, about the second screen, could be really useful because I'm trying to cut down my time to get the S-Rank of 4:00 (my best so far is 4:36). So thanks again!
Also, for anyone who hasn't completed the game, you unlock a sound test after completing Skull-Skull. The sound test is basically a level with two pages where there are about 20 red buttons that each play different music when you step on them. I thought it was neat. I also heard that you unlock an alternate title screen after getting all the S-Ranks.
