I'm from Europe and I'll probably go to America this month.
So if I buy an American DSi when I come back to Europe, will the store be european or american?

It should, but you would only be able to access the American shop channel

You will have access to only the American shop as you have would US firmware. Yes it will work. However, you can only use point cards from the US. It's also possible that some DSi Enhanced games won't work, so think about that first.

You'd be better off getting one from your home country so the download shop will work.

The DSiware shop will work, but it will be the USA shop. Also DSi enhanced games and DSi only games will be region locked.

when you set up a american DSi you can select what country you are from and then be able to play your games and acess the eu dsi shop eu firmware upgade incription ^_
