Sure, it gets even more impossible to collect them all, with each game, but who would want a generation that doesn't add any new Pokémon? As long as they keep it original, in which Diamond and Pearl severely lacked, I'm happy.
I was relieved to see that Black and White didn't have Pokémon designs as uninspired as Diamond and Pearl, in which half of the new Pokémon could evolve into or from older ones, while the rest mostly resembled old ones as well.
Black and White does have its rehashes, too (I'm looking at you ,Woobat! Even your name sounds familiar!), but it still does a far better job to add some Pokémon that really feel fresh than Diamond and Pearl did. There's things like a zebra, a mirkat and a centipede. Sure, Pokémon like Klink, Reuniclus or Garbodor are kinda weird and ugly, but at least they they are original.
While Black and White is not really the best game in the series, mainly because it lacks a few series staples like the Safari Zone and a full-blown Battle Frontier, it sure is one of the more creative ones when it comes to character design. I like how Game Freak succeeds in keeping the Pokémon original, without sacrificing the feeling of resetting the series they intended for Black/White.
To me, it's never enough. You really need to play it a lot to catch them all until the sixth series starts, however.
300 something is the highest I've caught. I might try to catch all of them if the Pokemon series ends but there's a lot. I want more Pokemon! Since 1000 Pokemon were originally ready, I want to atleast reach 1000. Plus in the Pokemon anime Movies they say thousands.
Souls are for the weak. I flow with the darkness on the pathway of depression.
Yu-Gi-Oh and Digimon have more monsters than Pokemon I think. Digimon has about 800 and Yu-Gi-Oh has god knows how many. I don't mind new Pokemon to be honest.

Keep going, personally. I take exception to the increasingly convoluted evolution rituals like dragging an Eevee a rock to get Grass or Ice types but I appreciate the games have something of a working world going on even if it's mostly in the background.
The thing about Pokemon is that out of those 649 Pokemon, none are 100% the same, and there's a delicate balance between them (except Magikarp and Delibird, obviously).
Even as a child, I've never been really inclined to "catch 'em all." I caught the "good" ones, or the ones I thought looked "cool." I still do that today. While I would agree that a lot of Diamond and Pearl's Pokemon were uninspired (a Hippopotamus named "Hippopotas." Herp Derp), there's always that handful of awesome ones that I just have to have.
So with that being said, I really can't complain about new Pokemon, as long as they keep it original.
I'm working on a game that's coming out soon! Cipher Trailer
