Looks interesting, and it's 12 levels and 112 blocks, so it might be a decently sized platform game...or action game. I don't really know what it is. lol It's also 800 points though... Castle of Magic is 500...Hmm. I'm curious too. lol
I downloaded it and beat the first two levels so far.
It's kind of funny to make your own character. You setup each facial expression, like normal, surprised, happy etc. Then you add your own sounds, like growls, oofs, yays and stuff. I laughed a couple times at my dude doing his thing with my expressions and noises.
Each enemy and friend you come across you have the ability to customize, so if you want to set your whole family up in the game it would be pretty fun.
You get to change outfits when you want. There's a barbarian with a club, a spy with a gun and a samurai with a sword for example. Playing through the game you collect purple stars in the levels. I came across some items like a magnet that attract the stars to you.
Does the game seem like it has enough length to be worth 800 points? How long are the levels? Is there something to come back to when it's done? Do you have Castle of magic? How do they compare?

I have both. The first two levels took me about 30 minutes but that's including customizations. I'd say each level should take 10 minutes or so unless they get brutal or longer later on. It would have been a better deal at 500 but if you're a platformer fan it's pretty enjoyable. I haven't completed it yet, so not sure about what to do when done. You can go back and customize everyone you unlocked and have them make different sounds and faces.
Castle of Magic is a bit more fun as a game, but the customizations in this one are far superior. I do like how CoM has the ability to erase portions you don't want on the items/faces. This one I had to take a few pics before I got one that fit nicely and looked good.
At the end of each level you get a snap shot taken of your guy that it says you can upload to facebook. I haven't investigated that much yet.

But this game REALLY will make you wish the quality of the cameras were better. 0.3 megapixel is pretty bad quality. At least 1.2.
I am considering this when I get my points card. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to choose between this, or UNO and another game. It's unfortunate because this doesn't stand a chance against UNO. I will get it if I get a second points card though.

The 0.3 MP of the camera has nothing at all to do with quality. That's what determines the size of the files/how many pixels length and width-wise a pic is. The software and lenses are what make up quality. I noticed a drop in quality between the built in DSi Camera and Sparkle Snapshots when it came to low light pictures. You might be experiencing the same thing. Step out into mid-day sunlight and take your photos then.

Thanks for the impressions sirgrim and Hardy83! I decided to take the plunge on this and am mostly pleased so far. The photo based stuff seems much more integrated and doesn't have that tacked on feel of Castle of Magic. Good gimmick, but the platforming is a smidge weak. Still a good game that I am happy I bought. 7/10
