Topic: Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow

I believe I am at the last boss of the game. I am currently a level 54. Do I need to level up to 80-90+ before I have a hope at winning the game?

Not really. You just have to memorize the final boss's attack pattern, dodge his attacks, and have some potions ready in case he manages to hits you. Shouldn't be too much trouble. Also, have the Mandragora soul equipped to do more damage (use it during his second form).

I beat it at level 44 I believe, on my first playthrough.

There's a soul that reduces dark damage, I used a greatsword IIRC. Also using a bunch of potions, is another option.

This game can be challenging. I haven't gotten much further than about 75% through. Great game though!

I really dig the Soma Cruz storyline. Especially considering who/what he is. They could take that story in all sorts of directions. I hope they do another DS game with Soma and the rest of the cast.
