So, @Muyounosuke had a great idea to setup a dedicated amiibo forum here on Nintendo Life, so here we are. amiibo is almost upon us and our bank balances are about to fall, can someone arrange a new overdraft for me?

Are you excited by amiibo?

I'm not very interested in them... I might use them quite a bit in Smash, but probably not... I'd like to get one amiibo when they launch so I can try it out, but I still don't know wether I want Mario or Kirby. Mario will be useful with more games but I like Kirby as a character far better. I'm leaning towards Kirby because I really like his Mii racer outfit.
Right now, I only really want Robin and Greninja, but thankfully they should be in Wave 4. I hope their support blocks don't look too bad.

So will we be making threads for each amiibo, or for each wave, or for each game they're involved in? Just curious as it's pretty empty.

I'm excited only for Link and Sonic,I want to get them for collection and to train them in Smash(I pre-ordered Link before knowing of the amiibo support in Hyrule Warriors and Mario Kart 8,It was a pleasant surprise).I was hoping I could use them in all the modes as teammates but that's not the case.

I'm excited for the ones that have proper functionality outside of Smash (e.g. Link, Yoshi, Captain Falcon)

Can't wait to not buy them.

Okay, now we just need a thread for each amiibo.

Went to Nintendo world yesterday and looked at the display. They are bigger than I expected and they look good in person. I thought the colored stands would bother me but they didn't. Also Marth doesn't really look that bad in person. I think it is if you look at a comparison shot that makes him look worse than he does. Just because the prototypes look so good.

It would be cool to have all the amiibos on a table like the trophy collection on SSBM but at 12.99 a piece nah

Don't care much as they don't do much but i may pick up one or two when they're on sale.

They're actually really good quality figs! I was pretty surprised at that. I don't care much for figs though haha

@Drawdler Can't you spell amiibo with a capital "A" when it's the beginning of a sentence?

I just want to get the Link amiibo....That is all

i'm going to get a couple amiibos before i get a wii u. i wont be able to help it.
