Works well enough for me and seems stable enough. It'll be useful for when I'm chilling on the couch or laying in bed. I don't have any other mobile device, so I appreciate having this finally. Oddly enough, one thing I really like is that scrolling through the timeline of a video works better on this app than on a regular browser on my PC. I can go to the middle of a video and it loads very quickly and with very little buffering. I guess that's because of the low video quality, but still, it's nice that it works so well. I also appreciate being able to access my subscriptions. I only wish we could comment on videos and view other people's comments. Well, that and higher quality video streaming would be nice too. I won't hold my breath though for stereo 3D viewing however. All in all, it's ok.
@baba_944 the app is buggy, mine froze and not even the home button was working so I had to force shutdown(hold power button for a few seconds) and then the search feature stopped working and I had to reset again.... after that no more bugs happened so it's matter of luck(until they update the app to fix all the bugs)

It looks like Nintendo is constantly updating the app. I believe that most of the app is pure website (kinda like on ios and Android) which allows Nintendo and Google to update it frequently. I noticed that ads are starting to pop-up here and there (Which for some reason is inviting and I don't know why). I have also noticed that the video quality is actually increasing.
I know for a fact that the video quality can be improved even further, and it probably will. Just look at the eshop videos...
But then again, they don't have stuff on the bottom screen... Maybe it should be toggle-able?
All in all, I don't think that the app is showing its full potential yet. Its just pulling a MineCraft .
the problem is that those 3D videos use that weirdred and cyan images anaglyph 3D(I just discovered the name of that type of 3D) it would look like a complete mess on the 3DS(though those already look like a complete mess with the glasses anyway so it might be awesome ) it would be cool if Nintendo Video became the youtube app with a "3DS exclusives" page or filter
red blue is just 1 option under the 3d setup in youtube. there is also left right view which is full 2 channel video. that would be amazing..
also, the ability to upload our 3ds 3d video to youtube is essential for this app to survive on 3ds. without the 3d element, its useless.

Bugs are obviously a no brainer priority. But even if the video played HD ... i just use my pc, laptop or smart phone for much better video experience. 3DS is the only mass marketed outlet for 3d... its even in the name of the product. 3DS. come on nintendo... lets do 3d right.. be the only product on the market that does 3d right. right now they are missing the ball because i think they dont really know what they want..
imagine going somewhere like the grand canyon, shooting a 3d video, upload it from your 3ds and then instantly share that experience with the world.. family... and if family has a 3ds, they can see that in 3d instantly.. this is the niche they need to slam a homerun with in my opinion.. not more of the same.

It's probably just me, but when it told me there was an update, I listened to some music really quick on the app before the update, and then listened to the same music again after the update, and it sounded better.
