Topic: Where's that Wario 3DS game?

Look, people have often demanded a brand new F-Zero game but let's face it, that can't ever happen cause Nintendo just isn't into F-Zero.

But what about Wario? I haven't seen a brand new Wario game on the 3DS for quite sometime now. Just what happened? Is there any news or leaks that a new Warioware game is coming up?

I'm also genuinely curious about why Wario hasn't had any kind of presence on the 3DS, it's strange.

...Well there's VC Wario games...

Well, he does make an appearance in the spin off games.

But seriously though, how can Nintendo easily forget that they have Wario who is a Mario character (sort of...)

I wouldn't mind seeing another Warioware game, but I'd rather see another installment in the Wario Land series. Unfortunately at this point in the 3DS's lifespan, I don't see it happening.

"Quite some time?" No. There hasn't been a Wario game of any kind on 3DS. Period. (I'm not counting VC or backwards compatibility)

I've been expecting a new WarioWare game that took advantage of the 3D gimmick early into the lifespan of the 3DS (as almost every WarioWare game exploits the unique capabilities of the console that the game is designed for).

And the less said about Game & Wario the better (especially since it was following in the footsteps of the amazing Smooth Moves on Wii). It had some brilliant ideas, but many of them were tucked away as little throwaway collectibles (as fantastic as some of them were), and were not integrated into the game in any way, and I fear that its extremely poor sales have jeopardised the possibility of future Wario games, of any kind, on 3DS/U.

I just want a new WarioWare game though. I don't care if its derivative. I don't care if they take the Rhythm Heaven route and give us a "remix" edition. Just give us something. The 3DS has gyro controls, so they can essentially make a sequel to "Twisted" (or hell, I'd even be happy with an enhanced port as I doubt that my cartridge is still working due to the nature of its design).

Frankly, I think it's unwise of Nintendo to not make more of an effort to maintain interest in the Wario brand, as he has essentially faded from the public conscience due to inactivity.

Unfortunately, we haven't had either a Wario Land or WarioWare game on 3DS, for some reason. Which is strange given all the gimmicks the 3DS could bring a WarioWare title (touch screen + microphone + gyro controls + AR + 3D) and how obvious the idea of a Wario Land platformer on the system is.

Hopefully the series makes a return on the Nintendo NX.
