I'm sorry to burst your bubble, we'll all be surprised if Nintendo were to surprise us with a game like Metroid Fusion, Minish Cap, or Pokemon Emerald coming to the Virtual Console. I'd be crossing my fingers anyway.
They have already released Minish Cap and Metroid Fusion on it tho, the question isn't can 3DS handle GBA games (as it can) but will Ninty want to release those games.
A few NES games I had and would like to see again are Paperboy, DuckTales, Robocop, Duck Hunt and Snake Rattle 'n' Roll.
It was a joke... this is awkward. I thought that my first sentence would give it away. If the 3DS couldn't even run 32-bit games of a handheld two generations before its time by the same manufacturer, then what is Nintendo is even doing? Must be Half Life: Mario Edition for the Wii U, it can't be anything else to be honest.

Ah, yes! The Sunsoft version was very good but it depends on WB and Sunsoft to come up with an agreement to handle the licensing issues before it gets released on the VC.
Proud owner of a Switch, Wii U, Wii and 3DS.
Ask me about the games I own :) I am looking to add friends on the Switch and Wii U.

The Master System Phantasy Star has not aged that well. (When I first played it I did it mostly by trial and error all those mazes).
The Saturn got a nicer looking version. (Even if they used the sprites from that only with the original game. That would be fair).

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
Considering the Castlevania binge I've been on lately, Simon's Quest, Dracula's Curse and Belmont's Revenge would all be welcome additions to my digital library.
That reminds me, I miss Mario Tennis back on the GBC, lol
I'm definitely getting Mario Tennis GBC when it hits the 3DS VC. It's my favorite Mario sports game by a fairly wide margin, and I have no clue what happened to my old cart.
Also, I'm surprised to learn that Europe and Australia still don't have Mario Golf. Seems odd that that one would fall through the cracks.

Mario Tennis GBC succeded as an RPG in ways that some traditional RPGs fail - I felt really "involved" with that world as I moved up the ranks and bested my peers.

I'm pretty sure that it's Mario Tennis you're talking about. Anyway, the GBC Mario Sports games are garbage to be honest. If you're nostalgic to those specific games, then go for it but you're just nostalgic in general about Nintendo Sports Classics, then go for for simply Golf and Tennis. They're pretty laborious and doesn't make you feel special like when playing Zelda Link's Awakening, Super Mario Land 2, or... well... most of the NES games. There aren't really that many Game Boy or Game Boy Color games that give you 'that feeling' because of how short and laborious most of them were, sadly to say. Take Metroid II and Kid Icarus for examples on the Game Boy, they weren't nearly as long or fun as the NES games even though they are quite playable. I'm not calling them bad, but they might not feel fun to play at what we're used to today.

Yeah, I think I also liked how you were your own character and the Mario characters were treated as celebrities you rarely get to see, lol. (never did get to the very end for some reason)
