Unable to download free game - Nintendo 3DS Forum

Hi, bought my son the 3DS XL and registered for the free game, code cam through (only 6 characters long?) but it keeps saying there is an error with the code.
Am I doing doing something really obviously wrong?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Ok - so literally as I posted this, I got another email from Nintendo with the correct code - now downloading - panic over!
