I have one, and I don't think that would be a good idea. It probably wouldn't clean it off too well either.

They look like they're designed to absorb humidity (like most towels)... As in, you can use them to dry your hands or clean your sweat.
I don't think they would work well on the 3DS, it will most likely scratch the screen.

I'd recommend a microfibre cloth that you'd use to clean your glasses/sunnies. They're specifically designed not to scratch - you should be able to get them from a chemist or optical store.
