@Blast ya, someone I was with didn't realize what to do, but once he figured that out we had problems with some cooperation. Sometimes we would pull and someone would push or vice versa haha. And then someone had to go...
We had just completed the puzzle until someone accidentally touched the lava when we were on our last heart so we had to redo it.
@DiscoGentleman: I played for quite a while, and felt the same way about the game. My concern is with replayability, too. It got kinda tiring commanding people what to do... especially in the fire temple! After playing the game, I like it more, but still unsure about purchasing it or not.
I got disconnected once, and someone quit on me another time. You have to expect disconnections and people quitting, but I hope it won't happen almost every time. Overall, I really enjoyed it; I'll have to see how many stages there are, costumes, etc, to decide if I get it or not.
@DiscoGentleman: There is a thumbnail of a video on the official website that shows Link walking around a town. The video does not show this however, only dungeon gameplay. However from what I can gather, it seems the multiplayer aspect of the game mainly or even solely applies to dungeon play. Knowing the Zelda games, there should be way more to the story and all the exploring in towns and the overworld in the full game. I hope this is true, because if not I will look like an idiot
@DiscoGentleman: I as thinking about that, too.
That's why I was thinking this game could be a Zelda Guild game: Basically, you gather two other players and explore a dungeon for treasure, just like we're all doing with this game. The dungeons would come as daily free DLC (with a fair amount of dungeons already in-game at launch). That would provide lots of repeatability, don't you think?
I had fun with the demo but there were two moments were it was annoying.
It was in the Second Dungeon where you needed one person to throw the bomb in front of you and then to blow it to the other side. Red Link had the bombs but didn't know what to do. Me and Green Link kept trying to tell him with the icons on the bottom. For example I kept saying "Throw" "Item " "Over Here". He took awhile to understand it.
Also in the Fire Temple with a different team there was one guy (also Red Link) who always wanted to be on the Top Triangle of the Triforce. If one of us got on it he would grab us and throw us away. By the third room I got annoyed and grabbed him and faced towards the lava. He was spamming "No!!!" until I eventually stopped, and he started to work with us.
I had a lot of fun with the demo, despite only having half an hour with it. I got through the first two dungeons with a good group of Links with just a slight bit of lag here and there. We loved spamming the panels. I'm looking forward to tackling the final dungeon tomorrow.

Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
NA demo is done for today, we were in the middle of a dungeon I think my favourite is probably the second so far. Some of the puzzles are rather interesting. However as was said before, once you solve it it doesn't always feel as fun. Hopefully there are some puzzles that can still be fun to figure out and that there are lots of exciting battles.
That was an interesting demo. When I had a good pair of Links, the game felt fantastic in every way. But as soon as I had one annoying Link, it all fell to pieces. either they think it's fun to throw me off the edge, or my limited emote selection is not enough to tell them to help me push a block.
I really wish I had som friends with 3DSes, because this game would be so much fun to play with some buddies sitting next to you.
@GamecubeMan For the most part it pretty much plays exactly like a Link Between Worlds, with the only differences are that you can't use your shield or go into walls. While the only major mechanic added would be the Totem formation.
Also it looks like you can skip the Block puzzle in the Fire Dungeon if you have a Link with the Great Spin Attack clothing. You just throw two Links on the un-moved block and have the Great Spin Attack Link on the top and be as close as you can to the switch before using it. Found this out when I ran into another group who didn't know you could push the block and I wanted to at least try if I could speed up the process lol.
@DiscoGentleman: Had the same experience as you. I met a pair of other guys and we figured out the levels together, and it felt really great to help each other out.
I fear as you do that the full game might be on the lighter side of dungeon numbers, which would be bad. Repeating the same dungeon again and again to obtain the materials won't be fun for long. This together with the single player mode with those scarecrows make me very hesitant.

finished with none less than three groups who where only intent on killing each other. Luckily in the finished game you can blacklist, because that's just plain stupid when you want to enjoy some time with a limited demo and can't replay the levels.
I noticed that rupees and drops aren't saved in the demo, or there's a way i haven't figured out yet. Pity, it would have been nice to take those over to the finished game.

If you dash (L or R) into one of the walls in the lobby area, a ball drops down. It's a hidden mini-game of sorts because you have to try and hit it to try and keep it in the air as long as possible while it plays the main theme to the game. You can do this both in multiplayer and singleplayer lobbies.
I played all three of the demo dungeons with one group and had a really fun time. Me and the other Links were having a rough time with Bomb Storage and the block puzzle; we knew what had to be done but sometimes, one of us would end up accidentally "totem" a Link. There were a couple of lag spikes but the connection was otherwise smooth.
My Blue was the wise one and Red seemed to be a panicky sort. At the Fire Temple, Moldorm was chasing Red; he picked up the totem and swiftly threw us onto a ledge of hearts when we had one left. Quick thinking!
The communication icons were charming and generally get the job done but a couple of extra icons would be nice. A "Sorry" needs to be added for my sake... ^^"

Heh, I got bored last night and ended up getting a score of 251 with that ball.
My brother and I got a score of 10 with the ball...
The catch was that every second strike had to be with the Pegasus boots.
We played through the first dungeon just the two of us with me blindly fumbling my second 3DS whenever a triple totem was required (took two goes for the bossfight since organizing the dud link to be the middle chump was rather tricky when avoiding electric beams of death...
And then to our dismay we discovered that the local play version of the demo doesn't allow access to the second and third dungeon. Seriously WTF.
