Topic: The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes

The latest 3DS Zelda title calls back the multiplayer aspect found in Four Swords while adding features such as online multiplayer. It launches this autumn.

8/5/15 Update: Nintendo has announced that this game will launch on October 23 in both North America and Europe.

Looks fun, I hope it's good.

It's being shown in the tree house event and I like what I see.

It looks like ALBW without the problems I had with ALBW and Four Swords but with actual easy access to play multiplayer. I approve.

This was probably the game I was most excited with, that and the Mario & Luigi crossover with Paper Mario. Though it's a shame Purple Link is nowhere to be found.

It's main gameplay focus with totems is dumb, but the rest looks ok.

I like the fact it has online multiplayer, and it was probably one of my favourite games out of the three I have from the E3 Digital Event.

I don't like the graphics, but I expect it to be good. I hope they don't try to fit it in the timeline, because that would be stupid.

It's set in a fourth timeline, where OoT's Link became a fabulous fashion designer.

This was a weird announcement, but I can see the potential in it.

Now the main question is: Is it canon?

It's Zelda.

Unless it's made by Philips (or it's a crossover), it's canon.

This was actually one of the few things I liked from the Digital Event. I hope local co-op with just two players is possible, though.

I don't see why not. They'd just need to make the first player control one of those Link dolls to compensate.

This gets shown over Zelda U.... Wow. Just disgusted. Can't even get excited for this.

I can get why this announcement won't gel with everyone, but I loved it. I've been hoping for a long while that Nintendo would eventually revisit the multi co-op Zelda concept of Four Swords Adventures, and this looks like it'll scratch that itch nicely. And I don't even mind that they're shaving off the competitive edges FSA had, since that aspect of the game caused every multiplayer session I ever had with it to, without fail, end in disaster.

Zelda U wasn't going to turn up regardless if this was announced or not.

Yeah no, I don't care about this game. Zelda is a single player game. Let me go in my hole and play by myself.

There's a single player mode.

Zelda U isn't even coming out withen the year. Better nintendo gives us something in the meantime to have while we wait for their rediculously long delay.

But it's built for multiplayer, that's the issue. Four Swords isn't particularly fun in single player either.
