Hah the music seems to get weirder and weirder when you're forming a totem.

The sound effects seem to be taken straight from ALBW. I wonder if they're final.

Some of the most fun I had playing with strangers without talking... we could have talked but there was no need. It was funny and action packed. The totem mechanic is interesting but the middle player can't do anything. The bottom player walks, the top player attacks, the middle player taps the cheerleader emote just for laughs lol. That was really my only complaint with the game. I can't wait to play it with my wife and a 3rd Party who has yet to be named...

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I believe the middle player throws the top player.

I guess they can but it was never needed in the demo, and I can't imagine that being something that happens a lot in this game.

Is there a way to rewatch the treehouse footage?

Nintendo, if you aren't going to include voice chat in any of your games, why even bother making it a feature in your system?

I'm pretty sure the last EAD developed game to feature voice chat during gameplay was Animal Crossing: City Folk on the OG Wii. That's shameful, whether you care for voice chat or not.

I don't care about this game in particular, but it's a part of a much greater issue.

Don't you know by now that Nintendo only puts the microphone on their systems just for you to blow into them?

And turn E rated games into M?

I never even expected it. That would be like asking a fish to climb a tree. Nintendo is stuck in 2005. We're extremely lucky this even has online play at all, so I'm happy. I'll be getting this game as soon as I can, but yeah I agree. Nintendo has some serious re evaluating to do if they plan on being taken seriously in the future.

Just got to try this game at the best buy mario maker event. It's pretty fun and a bit tough having to share hearts lol defiantly picking it up when it releases.

I tried it at the Best Buy Event, and loved it. Now I'm gonna have to see if I can convince my friends to buy it, also. And for those wondering, I wore the Zelda dress...IT'S FABULOUS, DAMNIT!

There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

I am still sceptical. I fear that the game is more lineair then Four swords adventures (I liked Four swords adventures quite a deal though, since it was a nice diversion from the regular titles. It did quite some interesting things, and looked awesome). And I hate those moving lines of text that appear on screen. I hope you can switch that off when playing alone (I think its for multiplayer purpose only). I also hope there are pieces of overworld. I don't expect a complete overworld, but the overworld could be seperate levels, like in Four swords adventures.

I am also curious about the world/story/villain. Supposedly it isn't in Hyrule, but in a fashion-savy land. So that probably means a different villain, maybe some Cruella Deville-type?

If there's no voice chat, why is there online multiplayer at all if you can't do anything with it?

Well, Luigi's Mansion did a good job with it.

It's a multiplayer game, not a phone. You can play it just fine without talking.

At least the quick messages seem to work well enough.

Because if you are cooperating with your friends, you are going to want to communicate with them.

It'd probably be better to skype or talk on the phone anyway, IME with pokemon voice chat, it's just not as effective for some reason. Cuts out a lot.

Plus, I'm positive everybody here must have some kind of phone or PC with skype on it to communicate with... right?

Yes, and I'm speaking hypothetically here as I'm not interested in this game at all, but one of the fundamental ideas behind the 3DS is that it's portable. I can carry it around my house or my dorm and keep playing. If I have to call my friend over the phone, that defeats the purpose.
