I love this game. I'm close to beating all levels. The challenge, the dialogue, the graphics, and the controls are all so great! I love the sound test too. This is such a great game.
Star Fox is much better suited for a portable and in my opinion more work went into this remake. The 3D is better and the level of polish and feature set is just unreal.
I'm glad people are enjoying it. I personally can't justify spending 50 Euros on a game I've already bought twice before and played a lot. (Although that didn't stop me buying Ocarina of Time, but hey that's different.) Anyway Starfox 64 is one of the greatest shoot em ups of all time, and I will own it at some point on 3DS. But not yet.
got it on launch day, already finished the main game more than 8 times, got bronze medals and a couple of silvers. i cant seem to find the other levels yet, i must search them more. but getting gold medals is some crazy thing. for some levels, i barely can get enough hits for a silver, and gold needs so much more it looks unreachable. is gold a perfect hit score ?
anyway, its a 3ds essential. it looks exceptional with the 3D on, even without it it looks gorgeous. battle mode is fun even with bots, too bad the online mode is possible. its really a shame, it would make the game so close to be perfect. anyone knows why they didnt put it ? i dont see why not
haven't had the chance to try out anything but the main mode. the voice acting is nearly spot on (though Leon sounds too much like Star Wolf for my liking, haha), and they removed Pigma's 'daddy screamed REEEEEAL good before he DIED' line. also, is it just me, or are falco, slippy, and peppy even more useless than they were before? i'm having a pretty hard time keeping those morons alive, it's ridiculous tbh D:
definitely love the graphical enhancements, with or without 3D. i will say that i greatly prefer the N64 controller to the 3DS, though — my hands tend to cramp up on me with the 3DS i've noticed D: other than that, it's an awesome feeling to be back in the Arwing. already having more fun than i did with OoT :3

They didn't remove that line. He says it in the area right before Venom I believe. I know he said it because when I heard it I thought it sounded a bit on the dark side for a Nintendo game. I sort of surprised they didn't remove it...

I can't wait to get this tomorrow! I heard this doesn't include the walk mode , but I love that they added VS AI. What happen if you collect all the gold medals in Expert in this version?

Yeah, that line was changed but I'm positive the pig dude said "Daddy screamed reeeeaaalll good before he died!" in the level with the satelite thing in the middle. The one where you have to shoot out all the towers on the edge that are shielding the thing in the middle. He says it I tell ya! I ain't crazy!!! (well maybe a little bit )

For everyone still wondering: yes the pig does still say "Daddy screamed REEEEAAL good before he died!" Trust me, I had to play through Venom nearly 20 times to beat that god dang StarWolf! I heard the line AT LEAST 9 times. He says it. I too thought it was a pretty dark line for a Nintendo game.
I picked this up today after some hemming and hawing. I am quite pleased. It's no earth shattering balls to the wall new epicness of the future type deal...but it's great. The 3D is very nice on this one. I get eye twitches with the 3D all the way up on OoT but none with Star Fox. So that's a plus. I do wish there was some online play. They should create a channel, so if you own the game you can play online. They should be able to do that.
Love playing this now that I got my copy yesterday. It's good to actual own it this time around and the cpus make for a good multiplayer match while I'm waiting for friday when I can get some people to play with me.

Does anybody know if you can unlock the Land master to use in Battle mode like in the original game? I believe you could earn an on-foot battle option as well. I hope these options weren't cut for the remake.
This game rocks even more than the original. Just sayin'.
