Hi, I registered my 3DS on Club Nintendo, however I may be giving this 3DS to a friend, and buying a brand new one.

How do I remove the current one from registration, and register a new one? Reason I ask is because of warrenty purposes, there may be confusion between the two consoles.

Thanks

I think you're going to have to contact Nintendo about it because there is no way on club Nintendo to do it yourself.

Want: Harvest Moon: One World, Story of Seasons: Pioneering Town, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury

Finished the Alola Dex.
Now playing New Horizons, Wrath of White Witch and Sword

Do you mean like you have linked your system to your Club Nintendo account through your eShop account?

Through the eShop you can go into your account settings and un-link your eShop account from your Club Nintendo account.

But then how would Nintendo know that the proof of purchase is for a faulty console and it wasn't for a 2nd console I recently bought?!

Each 3DS has its own unique Serial Number. You have to register the serial number of the new system and they should extend the warranty for that one. If you ever need to repair the system, they ask you for the serial number of the one you are sending in. And they can double check because the serial number is also on the battery in the system. Unless the new 3DS has the same serial number, you should be fine.

I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
