Anyone remember Rodea? Maybe not. So there's this game the creator of Sonic has been working on that's been a flying game where you shoot people for 3DS. But the publisher refuses to do anything with the product (or some similar situation), or at least that's what I've gotten out of news about the game's suspicious disappearance.
3DS game. Flying and shooting. On rails. Can't get it published. I can't be the only one who sees where this should go. And we aren't gonna get an Uprising-like game otherwise since the team disbanded after it came out anyway...
Like normally I'd prefer a new IP to stay as is, but if this is the only way it can come out, might as well help it succeed. And even as someone who was looking forward to it, the game was pretty blatantly an idea he would have made using Nights if he was still at Sega, so I don't feel turning it into Kid Icarus is losing much.
Honestly, if there's going to be a Kid ICarus sequel, it should be done right this time around, and on the Wii U. The GamePad controls would make much more sense and the GamePad with the touchscreen could easily do other things. it actually suprised me when they came up with Link's CrossBow Training which sold with the zapper shell, and I believe Super Smash Bros Brawl was coming ut around back then, it kinda dawned onme that they actually could've done a better justice if they'd make the iteration for Kid Icarus instead (which they never did and honestly, Crossbow would've been more natural to Pit anyway because whenyou 1st picutre Lnk, you think of the dude green with a sword and sheild. And when you think , you think the flying angel with a bow and arrow) because at least there'd be more of a challnge and not every level has to be rail. I'd go as far as to say some could be flying, and the ground levels wouldn't be limited, minial flying wuld be there. But I mean, I don't know, uprising probaly did a fairly decent job that it actually dopes deserve a proper sequel,. And if not exactly the same contrl scheme, nothing's really stopping it from going the Legend of Zelda route and trying slightly/semi new control schemes.
I've got a few ideas:
It would be on Wii U
Amiibo integration to obtain special weaponry (balanced with weaponry in the regular game)
Amiibo figure integration for additional worlds redone from past games (they would be like those Skylander world figures)
Additional online modes
Better controls
DLC available for additional characters
Contains some sort of hub world like the sky world Pit is from
Power meter to charge up super powerful attacks
Boss rush arena mode
Mountable monsters
Co-op
