Topic: Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon discussion

Since I started with a Litten in Moon, I've gone Rowlet for Ultra Sun. Just like with Litten, Rowlet won't ever evolve. And it really is bad luck I end up with a Pichu that has terrible defence. It's Lv10 now, so I'm sticking with it. If only I hadn't have one-shot the one I first encountered...

Oh wow that must've been the quickest shipping in the story of everything. I got the game today!

I started with Litten in Moon.

I'll let luck decide this time, with the ancient trick of pressing down lots and lots of time without looking at the screen and then pressing A.

I know how you feel. My dual Steelbook pack hasn’t even shipped yet but Amazon has already taken my money. Sometimes I hate Amazon.

So its 2am.

Game was delivered, according to both Amazon and Royal Mail, to me or a neighbour at 9:34am.

They can fit a PS4 game in my mailbox but not a 3DS game apparently. It wasnt in there. Nor in any safe spaces.

If left with a neighbour we will leave a card. There is no card. Ive asked both neighbours. They dont have it. There is no information AT ALL about where it is.

So now I have to wait a 36 hour period before I can begin asking Amazon for a refund.

Ive lost count of the times Amazon has cocked up. The Nintendo UK Store delivered some stuff including entire consoles late. (Theyve been better lately I hear). GAME overcharges.

I have never been more compelled to go all digital in my life.

And whats sad is Im sure something would screw that up too.

@YummyHappyPills It's unfortunate to hear that. Where I live, you can't expect to get a game on launch day if you order online. Sometimes they arrive in time, maybe even a day early but most of the time pre-ordered games come day or two later after the launch day. And due to Nintendo having their release dates on Friday, it means you won't get it until Monday if it doesn't come in time. I waited 3 weeks for my Breath of the Wild and I never saw my limited edition Final Fantasy Theatrhythm: Curtain Call. I'd moved into my own apartment after I'd ordered Theatrhythm and I have no idea where they sent it since it didn't arrive at my place or my family's place. In the end, I got my money back and got the game digitally.

I finished my first trial and was surprised to find a Noibat. I've never trained one before so I'm certainly adding it to my party at some point. Maybe a little later since it takes quite long until it evolves. I can evolve many Pokémon in the mean time instead of having it take a slot from my party.

My current team is: Popplio, Zorua, Grubbin, Buneary, Inkay and mystery gift Rockruff. All of them are level 13-15. I'm all about filling up the Pokédex so I'm switching Pokémon all the time. I tend to keep my starter around for the whole game, though. I might place it on PC at times if it gets over leveled but I'll take it back again later.

they better ship my copy Monday or I will be really mad. I've never had this happen before. Amazon is usually really good at getting it to me on release date or the day after.

Going through Amazon customer service now. Bet your ass I expect a refund for something I never got.

I've been relatively lucky and have rarely had mail issues minus a book that arrived late one time, but that was due to horrible weather conditions. I've never had any issues with games shipping, though to be fair I rarely preorder anything these days.

Hopefully you figure everything out. It seems to me that Royal Mail royally screwed up in this case.

I pre-ordered 3 games online over the last couple of months, Metroid: Samus Returns and Mario Odyssey from Amazon and Sonic Forces from Gamestop. Out of those only Samus Returns arrived on time, the other two arrived a day late. Definitely going back to pre-ordering in store, half the point of a pre-order is so you can play it on launch day. Not the next day, not the next week, the day of. So if they're this bad at getting it on time, there's no sense in me trying that again.

I used to preorder online but they rarely arrived on launch day, but if they did it would be past 9pm so I could have gone to a store by then.
I've only preordered one or two games from GAME, but my local stores aren't very close and the staff seem to be clueless. I preordered Okamiden from an independent store in my city and they sold it by 10am! I was quite angry but they sold me someone's Wii U preorder of BotW in March, so I can't really complain I guess

I know several people that swear that preordering from Sainsbury's is the best option, but that seems like a random choice...

I tend to just buy digital now, it's a lot easier and you can play some games at midnight. It can be more expensive compared to ordering from Amazon but it's similar to store prices.

Before the release date, a week later... I usually don't mind. As long as I get it.

Amazon and the eShop are the only viable options where I live anyway, and when it comes to first party nintendo titles, the eShop is usually overpriced.

Which is really why I wish GAME or even Amazon did more in terms of eShop codes for specific games. Mario Odyssey was priced matched to the physical version, and obviously with Prime that knocked another £2 off. But because it was a code, it didn't need to be delivered and effectively acted the same as if I'd bought it from the eShop directly.
But then, that might be asking a bit too much.

There's an NPC who talks about GS Ball. I never thought they'd bring it up again. I wonder if it has any grander meaning behind it. Probably not.

Probably the wrong place but looks like i'll be losing my Legendary Pokemon again thanks to the garbage system that is the Pokebank. I should be able to re up my subscription to it regardless of what game i have and i can't even do that all i have is Ultra Sun. Nintendo company tells me to contact the Pokemon Company they tell me to contact Nintendo company such an annoying system i have the money to pay for it but i guess they don't want it.

@canucksfan989 Pokebank is getting USUM support next month. GameFreak is slow

@Tsurii Can't you access your bank account on PC or something? Or do you need to access it in-game?

@Octane you need a 3ds game that uses pokebank @Tsurii yeah no shinies so really it's just time spent in sun and moon gold and red which I can do just annoying. They need to change it to at least buy the sub for the year even if it's just on the system. Talking with Nintendo it does sound like they give you a period to withdraw but not sure how long I think mine ended November first so hopefully gamefreak gets it up by the end of the month because any longer I'm probably out of luck. Luckily not many legendaries I lost most to my own incompetence leaving them on Pokemon Sun then trading in lol

@YummyHappyPills I think it's deliberate, they want people to use new pokemon for a while before we bring out all of the charizards!

@YummyHappyPills was it confirmed for next month? Haven't heard any release news.

@Araquanid This website said that it was going to be available by the end of the month. It's one of the articles from today or yesterday I think...
