Yeah, looking at the scores in the Venasaur event, it's clear a ton of people were using that Home button trick. I was never aware of it! Thankfully I never needed it, but my first attempt is /still/ in the top 500 (I did use the -1 Complexity gift...wish I hadn't), and the high scores are around 30,000 rather than the usual 60k, 70k, and higher. I'm only a few thousand off the top mark , which is a little more than 30k. Glad they fixed that because I'm pretty sure I'll be able to place in every event from here on out with minimal investment.
The weird thing is even though the disruptions were brutal and the high scores were like half of normal, the score cutoff was actually higher than normal, so it was actually more likely you had to use items to qualify this time. I think because everyone got the free complexity-1 most people actually used it, and the 2 Victini attempts to easily level up your team without having to grind for days really levelled the playing field. It was interesting how people's rankings started dropping like crazy right after the 2nd Victini opportunity like a lot of people were specifically holding on to the complexity-1 to use after the 2nd opportunity: I know that's what I did.
No I was calculating the probability at that point. 1-(.99*.98*.97*.96*.95*.94*.93*.92*.91*.90*.89*.88) = 0.55 = 55% Your probability of catching Giratina by level 12 is 55%. My bad peeps.
So most people will catch him by level 12, or at least around level 12.
By level 20 your chance of catching him is 89.5%. You'd have to be unlucky to not catch him by then.
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
The gods must have been smiling on me because I caught Giratina at level 4... at first i didnt really believe it had happened because the Pokeball icon didn't turn up.

@Xyphon22 Dang that's unlucky. But the benefit of this whole escalating battle is your chances just keep going up. If somehow you get to level 50 all you need is a great ball to guarantee a catch.

So uh, Power of 4+ Giratina just did 720 dmg on no combo, whereas lvl 6 four match Gengar did 250ish. Uh, that's a lot of dmg.

So I hadn't really played this since the last major update until today. Is there a way to get those candy things without Nintendo randomly handing them out like they did today? Because otherwise they are kind of useless given how many of them you need to fill up all your Mega Pokemon.
So Giratina's level has taught me that I hate barriers and they screw with me the most, have you hit the point where you're struggling with giratina yet?
@Sparx: So, if by struggling you mean the point I could no longer just win on my first attempt at a stage without any additional items, then level 50 is when I finally began to struggle with Giratina.
I didn't know there was an additional candy prize at level 100, but with the team I have now, it hardly seems worth it to blow through an entire day's worth of hearts plus coins in order to get it. I may reconsider after I am done grinding EXP for my ideal team, but that'll be after I catch and S-Rank the rest of the new and expert stages. Given I don't even know how many Pokemon were added in the last update. who even knows how long that'll take? Finally, more stuff to do! Yay!
What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.
Ice? Dang. Ice is the worst. I still want to try and get to 50, but there's no way I'm getting to 100.

I am going to Level 50, to get the items, then I am going back to completing the new levels and hopefully one day finish Expert Levels. I am having a hard time with those 30 second or less expert levels
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
I haven't figured it out but Stage 199 (Tangrowth) seems inconsistent where I'm not sure if it is bugged or not.
There are 2 unbreakable bricks on each side. Every once in a while they turn into matching Tanglegroths and clears out the frozen pokemon. Most of the time the blocks just disappear and tanglegrowth does not spawn leaving most of the area unusable. Right know I'm wondering if this is based on the disruption delay of Glalie. I already caught him and S-ranked the level it just confuses me.
