I think that the cut-off for first tier will be 100-105k. Already settling for 2nd tier as I made a very good, solid run activating Sinister power on almost every occasion and just scored 83.7k, barely on the 1st tier. Used Absol, Yveltal (SL4), Hoopa-U (SL2) and Zoroark (lvl13, SL4). In all honesty, I don't see me making a better run than I did, as even Hoopa -U activated fairly often. Might try with M-Ttar or with Giratina (using a large skill booster to at least SL3).
Just finished the EB. In the morning I decided to level up both Weavile (lvl9, gave it some boosters), Kingdra (lvl8), as well as Dusknoir (lvl13) and Sableye (lvl11). Took on last batch of levels (291-299, skip at 296+3) using M-Ray, Kingdra (lvl8, SL3), Jellicent and Yvetal (lvl15, SL4). Didn't lose.
Lvl300 took a full item run sans the MS, and finished with 5 moves left. Used M-Gengar, Yvetal and Zoroark (lvl13, SL4).
You could just use the same bar used for mega evolution, and make you choose between mega evolution or Z crystals (you'd get them by type, instead of by species).
Just have it activate a Z "state" where the pokemon is stronger, for example, it could double the damage done for the rest of the match (for that one pokemon), or make it guaranteed to activate that Pokemon's ability with every match.
Maybe it could change that pokemon's ability to a Z version of it. For example, block-breaking abilities become an ability that breaks all the blocks in the area (the likelihood of it being activated would still be affected by the skill level the base skill has). And so on.
It would be like mini mega evolution for those who don't have it.
Just followed some advice in reddit and managed a 103k score on the Competition, which still is not good enough for 1st tier (at around 250 when I did it).
Had some bad luck with Zoroark not activating towards the end, so I'm gonna give it another go tomorrow.
Team used: M-TTar (fully candied), Hoopa-U (max, Sl2), Zoroark (lvl13, SL3, now at SL4) and Yvetal (lvl15, SL3).
I'm hoping that since they have Shuffle on 3DS and mobile they can keep their current userbase by adding big updates to catch it up with Gen 7. I'm sure eventually they will put an end to Shuffle and replace it with something else, but 3DS isn't going away anytime soon and of course neither is mobile.
I'm guessing and hoping that we won't see another spinoff game until well after Gen 7 has been established (like how Shuffle came out two years after X/Y)
I realized that I missed a couple of daily Pokémon (Winking Mudkip and Castform). First time I missed an event Pokémon. I wonder how long it'll take before the same event is available again.
Meloetta EB. Goes to stage 200, it seems. Boss' stage every 25 levels, so watch out! Plenty of skips (4 skips in the first 27 stages).
Medicham appears. Your chance to grab Medicham without going all the way to level 230. Still,is abit hard. Recommend Sky Blast team, with a Flap Pokemon.
Sharknado competition. The bracket for first tier has been widening. There is some extra info that was not available this morning.
Meloetta EB:
Stage 25: Bring a strong team. Used my strongest team on my main 3DS and finished with 6 moves, itemless. Did on my secondary 3DS and managed it itemless with M-Gengar (lvl2), Giratina-O (lvl7), Absol (lvl8) and Hoopa-C (lvl6). One move left.
Stage 50: Itemless. M-ray (20/20), Darkrai (max, SL2), Zoroark (lvl13, SL4), Hoopa-C(max, SL2). Finished with 1 move left on second try. Everything worked perfectly (Darkrai activated thrice, Zoroark activated 3-4 times, twice before activating M-Ray, but failed to activate once on a 3-icon match), Hoopa-C activated just once out of three times (on 3-icons match). Anything less than this will require either M-Ttar (15/15) or a +5 Moves. No blocks, just ice barriers. Disrupts every 3 turns.
Stage 75: Lots of steel blocks. Bring Yvetal (SS) and Leavanny (mine was at lvl9). Rounded up the team with M-Gengar and Hoopa-U (SL2, max). Used a +5 Moves and finished with 1 move left.
if you go with M-Gengar you need to clean a bit using Yvetal and Leavanny once each and then activating M-Gengar (can be done in two moves). That's a lot of HP to take down (24.5K). A DD will not help because of this. If you can't manage with a +5 Moves use a MS in top of that, but I got M-Gengar online in 2 moves: one for cleaning some blocks and a Gengar match and then a double Gengar match.
After that, stages 76+ are a three Pokemon affair, with lots of rocks, so put M-Gengar or M-Sharpedo on the first slot and then Bisharp or Forretress. They are not really needed but are a bit helpful to clean the stage at least once and then let M-Gengar do its stuff. You might as well activate a mission card that requires 100+ combo and fulfilled it. Remember: the last slot will not be used!!
I'll try and get to stage 100 before going to bed.
EDIT: For stages 76+, use Darkrai and Weavile (or Jellicent or Absol) plus M-Gengar. Also, remember its only 10 moves' stages so get M-Gengar online ASAP. The HP escalates quite rapidly.
BTW, I finally managed to get every single enhancement!! All ten! Sitting at stage 92, waiting for some hearts to regenerate.
Stage 100: M-Gengar, Hoopa-U, Darkrai (SL2), Sharpedo. Some Meloetta's icons appear but they are behind rocks, so no use bringing Meloetta into the stage. That's why I brought Sharpedo (Eject). Went with a +5 Moves first and only took 80-85% of its health. I knew that a MS wouldn't be that useful as well as a DD since the issue is the high HP, so I brought a Attack+ (no +5 Moves) and finished with 6 moves left (with some bad RNG). Absol is not good because its effect doesn't destroy the disruptions.
Yes!! Did stage 125 itemless!! Did a trial run with M-Gengar, Hoopa-U (SL3), Hoopa-C (SL2) and Darkrai (SL2), all maxed. Finished with 4 moves left. I only let Meloetta disrupt once, but Darkrai stopped her 3 times.
Great EB, with many gifts and little coin investment!!
EDIT: Stage 150. Had to resort to an Attack+ and a DD.
Stage 175: M-Ray (20/20), Sharpedo, Darkrai (SL2) and Yvetal (lvl15, SL4). Used Attack+, DD and +5 Moves. beat it with 6 Moves left. Hoopa-U and Zoroark make no sense as you always want to combo with M-Ray first and there is quite some metal blocks. Did a trial run 1st and managed to shave off 40% of its health, but didn't go with Sharpedo and once there was a dud when M-Ray activated and just erased one single Meloetta icon. So, that's the need for Sharpedo. M-Ray online in 3 moves: 1st with Yvetal to get rid of some blocks, then a 2nd combo with Yvetal, erased some blocks and M-Ray comboed and then a double combo with M-Ray. Darkrai activated just once just after DD wore off.
EDIT: Taking some time off to level Machamp up as well as Genesect (both at lvl13 now). With a full day at Ampharo's stage and Saturday Victini should get both to lvl15. Still have 2,000exp points in boosters just in case, plus a level-up.
Stage 200: M-Ray, Darkrai, Yvetal and Hoopa-U. Full items. Beat it with 3 moves left. Could have done better.
Now, sitting with 16MSUs. Haven't feed M-Beedrill yet, but planning on doing so since it seems you can do Survival Mode itemless with it, in order to farm exp. boosters. But I just feel that is just too niche to feed them all to it (I can still max Sceptile or Glalie after tho).
EDIT: Total investment 34,800 coins. No jewels. Some +5 Moves here and there on non-boss levels.
