Topic: Pokemon Shuffle

I definitely don't want Ultra balls. It will just give Nintendo an excuse to make the pokemon even harder to catch. Plus with the bonus that sometimes triggers it's sorta like a free ultra ball.

As for my Meowth team it's always the same. My main damage user is the fighter conkeldurr with his last ditch effort. It works well for that last attack I need. All my others are just normal and they're pretty high levels but still don't do too much damage.

My Meowth team constantly changes, based on who I want to level up. I like to have a couple Power of 4s in there. I never bring super effectives though, or (obviously) Pokemon who mess with disruptions or delay them. The last three expert Pokemon are fantastic with their Power of 4+. I take it very slow, line up 5 in a row, and can typically finish off Meowth with my last move even if he still has 400+ HP. Lately I have been netting 12-15k in coins per day.

I think I completely nailed the Meowth stage. I scored 7,000 coins with 15 hearts. I try to place the last coin with Meowth having 200HP or less, so with any combo I get him.

I usually fail the stage (get 330 or 130 coins) when it takes me more than 2 moves to place properly the first coin.

I use the same team over and over again: Riolu, a normal, Squirtle and Pidgeot (all of them trigger extra damage when making a 4 combo). All of them are maxed, but do very little damage (120, the fighter; 55-70 the others).

@TheXReturns: A word of advice? Try to make matches in the upper part of the game field. This way, accidental combos are rare. For example, if I have 3 moves left and less than 100HP to finish Meowth, I make a match in the upper field, usually 55-70 points. Then, place the last coin (1 move left) and then make the last match.

I consider taking 330 coins a success.

TO be honest, have I kept my goal of 5 chances at 330, rather than at 530. I'll have more coins.

Man. I'm dying to get my hands on some of the new Pokemon. The competition for Charizard has caught fire!! Ditto and some other Pokemons have appear in the top 5 group, with 600k HP!!!!

The other pokemon is Palkia who is unavailible. Dialga was an event stage so I would assume that Palkia would be too. I'm not sure about Ditto. Ditto isn't even listed in game.

The only thing I can think of is that the exploit on the mobile game has leaked its way onto the 3DS. A score of 663728

I was wondering about palkia "when did I miss that event!?" So he's a normal level?

Also, what's ditto's ability, or what makes him so useful?

Edit: wait, or are people just hacking their games now.

@Morpheel: He can change into any other pokemon in other games so if he follows that same formula it can be essentially a 3 pokemon challenge.

That sounds too broken though, I was hoping it was something along the lines of "sometimes it changes three icons of its kind to any other of your support Pokemon".

I've re-found my mojo with Meowthing. Just had a bit of a bad period, with mainly 130 coins, but I'm back to picking up 530 coins every time. I've got 225 S ranks now, with only a few pokes left to catch, but I was pretty wiped out, coin wise. I'm nearly back up to finish off this current set, and Regice, before stockpiling for an all-item run on Charizard. I'm curious as to what Megas you are using. I find Gengar or Garchomp the easiest to get high scores with, but I'm working on figuring out the Double Normal set-up.

Also, with Ditto and a Complex -1, it's essentially a 2 pokemon challenge. Coupled with an Arceus set-up this could be absolutely killer, competition wise. For that reason, I'm sure they'll either Nerf Ditto, or they'll make it THE last pokemon unlocked.

They could make ditto a premium paid-for pokemon.

As long as it's cheap and the only one, I wouldn't mind it.

@Morpheel: Or make us pay for it in coins like 99,999 or like 12 gems. That would set me back a lot.

I have a feeling that Ditto may appear in future stages, but won't be catchable, unless, as @TheXReturns has said, it is the absolute last Pokémon released (which will take a while). They could also make Ditto a prize Pokémon for a future competition, but judging by its obscenely powerful ability, it will put those winners at too great an advantage with future contests.

Ditto could also work as a potential power-up (costing a ridiculous amount, at least more than Complexity -1).

It can't be an item or anything like that since it's a Pokemon, and we need to catch 'em all.

They could just ban it from competitions.

It is possible that ditto hasn't been balanced yet. He isn't listed in the roster. For all we know that was a test to make sure it could clone as a pokemon and instead they make it so it turns into and enemy pokemon. Think of the stages where pidgy appears and if you select pidge an eevee appears instead. Maybe ditto could change into those.

Yeah, I was about to say that the hack-ey scores had been removed. Now it's all gengar & arceus again.
