What 3DS games do you consider to be superior to it?

Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Ocarina of Time 3D and definitely Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon have been better than New Super Mario Brothers 2 from my experiences. Code of Princess has the possibility of being better too shortly as I replay as and build up the characters outside of Ali.

Colors! 3D right? This would be my favorite 3DS purchase. Also, while I know Style Savvy is marketed toward female gamers, what do you like about it the most? I've thought about getting it just for the sake of roleplaying as a clothes designer, and figured the game offers the player a fair amount of creative directions with what styles they could create.

I guess one of my problems with New Super Mario Bros. 2 is the major issue I have with Code of Princess: the main campaign is WAY too short for my liking. These games make up for it with a ton of replay value, of course. CoP's replay value primarily comes from its excellent online and local multiplayer options, and NSMB2's comes from the coin rush mode and the larger metagame of collecting a million coins. Unfortunately, these don't interest me terribly, so they feel like a bit of a let-down.

Also, they're both a bit too easy for my tastes. Outside some of the highest-ranking side-missions in CoP, I hardly broke a sweat while playing either.

Not to mention Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D and Fire Emblem: Awakening.
NSMB games are getting more and more despicable as they go on - they're not innovative, they're not great visually, they reuse so much music and art, level design is repetitive and for god sake Nintendo remember when every entry of a Mario Platformer was actually unique?

SMB1, SMB2, SMB3, SMW, SMW2, SMG. SMG2 was a good upgrade and a single sequel isn't exactly milking an older game but we've had four NSMB's now. Four. Stop it.

I'm really starting to hate this list now!! Why!?!? Just look at the other list and with pushmo in this one already that only leaves room for 3 more retail games!

They've revealed number 6!

Theatrythm: Final Fantasy

Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

So that leaves 5 left?

Let me see: Code of Princess, Rhythm Thief, Etrian Odyssey IV, Soul Hackers, and Mighty Switch Force...

...Yeah, they got room to earn my respect. But not much.

Nice, theatrythm (got that right?) is one of the few 3DS I have played regularly even after seeing everything it had to offer

Here's the problem. I can see one if not two of these left out. Fire Emblem, Kid Icarus, and Luigi's Mansio 2. That's why this list will suck in the end!

New Super Mario Bros 2 should have been NewSuperWarioBros

New Super Mario Bros. 2 is the best NSMB I've played, but it isn't much compared to proper Mario games.

Your disappointment when you realize that all of these combined have sold less than New Super Mario Bros. 2.
My disappointment too.

I must have said this at least a billion times by now. Saying it again.

I am a huge rhythm game player. They are by far my favorite genre, having been so since I was 4, for over a decade now.
I am NOT familiar with Final Fantasy games at all.

With that said, Theatrhythm is one of my least played purchases. It's really bland as a rhythm game alone, and the timing windows seem a bit suspect.

This is a signature.

Screw you.

I enjoyed NSMB2 a lot. I agree it was more of the same, but that "same" is fun for me. To each their own.

Fire Emblem: Awakening, Super Mario 3D Land, Etrian Odyssey IV, Virtue's Last Reward, and Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask are clearly the correct top 5. 8)

I can already guess what the last 5 will be. 3d land, Fire Emblem, VVVVVV, Mutant Mudds, and Mighty Switch Force! Kid Icarus once again on the outside looking in along with a bunch of retail games that deserve better!

I don't think Mutant Mudds will be in the Top 5. And I hope VVVVVV isn't. If they're going to include ports, OoT will be up there. I hope they ignore ports, though.

NWR loves to overrate themselves some Mutant Mudds (it made the top spot in a seperate, eShop only list they did months ago), so I predict it'll find itself onto the list, probably pretty high up.

Oh, I'm not too familiar with them. If they put Mutant Mudds at the top just a few months ago then, yeah, it'll be there. I think Mutant Mudds is good, but not Top 5 good.
