Feel free to post your opinions on the new Nintendo video shorts here, since they started today.
11/1/13
1. The Misadventures of Link 1: Definately short, but still worth a chuckle. Having just played through that very scene in Wind Waker HD, it made it a bit funnier because Link's facial expressions perfectly capture the nervousness of going around a corner in that section, knowing that any turn might lead to one of those darn rats.
2. Time Slime: Bravest Warriors: This short cartoon was strange. You can definately tell the influence from Adventure Time. Those who find that show funny will probably end up liking these shorts. Found it good for a couple chuckles.
3. Ninja Cat Marco! Very odd short. Not sure what to say about it. Might just be that I didn't get all the references.
4. Bee and PuppyCat Part 1: I found this one pretty funny, though it was odd. It was creative and quirky enough for me to like. I'll look forward to anymore of these.
Overall, its a start. Definately look forward to more Link misadventures, hopefully a bit lengthier ones. This whole concept seems pretty promising.
^actually Mario is Nintendo's macot
mascot != hero
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

The Misadventures of Link: Episode 1 - Disappointing. It was extremely short, looked like it was hastily thrown together using WWHD's engine, and they didn't even bother to make it 3D, which is a shame, because it's Nintendo themselves. I still like the idea of Nintendo IP getting their own shorts though, so I'll continue to watch.
Time Slime: Bravest Warriors - Terrible use of Nintendo Video space. It's nothing but a slightly raunchier riff on the style of Adventure Time, and wasn't funny, IMO. Again, they miss the point of the app, and don't provide 3D capability.
Wild Heart Riukiu (Ninja Cat Marco!) - This one was fairly decent. It was pretty short, but I liked it's Japanese style humor, and they actually made it 3D (big props on that).
Bee & PuppyCat: Episode 1 - Much the same as that Bravest Warriors crud, but slightly better. They still miss the point of NV by not having 3D, but it may hold my attention more than BW.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
They were all either really dumb or really boring (or both). I hope the Pikmin short is at least decent. It's supposed to be a mockumentory, so I should enjoy it.
After watching the Misadventures of Link again, I'm now certain that it isn't just using WWHD's engine, it is actually gameplay footage from WWHD itself, edited into a scene.
