I sent Nintendo customer service an email about a week ago, but they still haven't replied yet so I was wondering if anyone here could answer my question. Here is the email I wrote.
"I was only planning on funding £20 to the Nintendo e-shop but I made a mistake and funded £60 as I got an error code the previous 2 times and thought the money wasn't funded. Could I please get a £40 refund as this was a mistake from an error code?
The error code was: 007-2100 and the balance was £0.00 the first 2 times I tried to purchase £20 for the e-shop (with the error code). The third time I did it,the balance was £60". Would Nintendo be able to refund my money?
Probably you can't - you have money for later I guess. I actually haven't heard of any system that actually would refund your money as far as this things go
Guessing you tried to do this while Nintendo was having network problems? The result of this is entirely up to the discretion of Nintendo customer service, so there's nothing anyone else can do to help - you'll have to wait for their response to see whether they can (or will) provide you with a refund.
I would have that they'd refund the money since you added it due to error of the eShop being faulty. I've had money taken from an online service and they gave me back my money due to error on their website authorizing the money to be taken out of the account, goodness knows what made that mistake.
