Topic: Nintendo Double Charge and no reply

On Friday October 11th, and looking to purchase pokemon X through the Nintendo Eshop, I loaded in twice for $20.00 in order to have $40.00. I had these funds added but forgot about the sales tax on the game, making the actual price a little over my balance so I went to load an additional $10.00 just to be declined. Upon checking my bank account for this reason I saw pending charges for $80.00 rather than the $40.00 available in my eshop balance. I immediately emailed and called the problem solving email form and phone number via your online contact us section. I've yet to receive reply for the email form (7 days later) and the phone number is worthless as there are never any reps to answer the call (keeps telling me they are busy and to try later). I still do not have my game, $40.00 have been charged, the other $40.00 remain in pending status, and no one seems willing to answer my queries via the support lines in any way. Has anyone had this kind of issue before? I even emailed the legal division to see what they had to say but they also ignored my email.

it happened to me once but my parents didn't tell me and decided I should stop using Eshop when I discovered it was a few months later(5 or 6) so I couldn't do anything about it....

Ahem......

This site is not affiliated with Nintendo. Hosted by dx.net.

With that said I would just keep contacting Nintendo untill the problem is solved. Also you can get a hold of your bank or whoever the card is under and dispute the charge.

This site is not affiliated with Nintendo (see message in bottom right corner). However I can help you by providing the contact details for Nintendo of Latin America (assuming you're really from Costa Rica): http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/en_la/contact.jsp

Good luck

I don't see any part of his post suggesting this site was affiliated with nintendo.

Anyway, wow that's scary. With pokemon x I had to try several times to add the funds, a constant fear was that the bank would make the charge every time. I hope nothing went wrong.

You should keep trying to contact both Nintendo and your bank to find a solution.

To quote the OP

it doesn't stop it from wanting to share his story and/or ask for help from other users in this site(I guess)

idk what's going on, but I haven't seen any e-mail like this in my inbox.

That said, we would have done the same thing lz did — forwarded 'em on to Nintendo proper.

I will say that the one or two times I've had to get in touch with Nintendo myself via e-mail, it took them like a week to get back in touch with me. As for phone, I was able to get in touch with them the same day, so I'd keep trying if I were you, @WolfHowlX. I'm sure as soon as you get through to someone they'll be able to help you get that extra charge reversed.

You may want to keep in mind that reversing credit card charges usually takes a couple days to go through, though, so even if they're able to immediately put the chargeback through, any added delay will be on your bank or your CC company, not on Nintendo proper.

Have you tried your bank? Sometimes the bank may make an error as well

well that's true! when it comes to money no unrelated party(unrelated in the transaction) can help.

Sorry for the confusion the contact us that I was saying that the OP stated sounded like they were saying that they contacted Nintendo and thought that this was the Nintendo forums. So thats probably why you didnt get an email TBD.
