Topic: Nintendo Badge Arcade

Does anyone know if you can knock the bullet bill off of Waluigi's head without using a play? Maybe by doing that "quick switch" technique? I've tired to do it but can't... I just want Waluigi! XD

Luckily, the only Koopaling I'm after is Larry, and he's right on top. I have no worries about getting him. The other MK8 driver I want is Shy Guy. I tried to get him today, but the claw hit a Thwomp, and didn't grab anything. I did get the Mii Plaza and Music MK8 Toads with my other free today, so not a total loss!

I tried it to see if it would, and it didn't take long before it flopped over. What I noticed is that if you start scrolling on the machine that you need the badge for, the scrolling will stop automatically on the same machine if you go all the way around. Some badges will tip over easier if you zoom past the machine in question. It makes sense, since you'll not be 'shaking' the machine if it stops right when you get there, so start your scrolling on the machine to the left (or right) of it. I started from the machine on the left. Keep scrolling over and over and eventually the bullet bill's going to tip over. It didn't take me long at all for it to work. However, it's still going to be difficult to get Waluigi even if you did tip it over, 'cause of Yoshi's position.

He's your favourite too??? I'd be happy with just him (and yes, I got him already), but it'd be nice to have the complete set if at all possible. They go together like green eggs and ham.

I took a video (excuse crappy quality) of me tipping it over as proof if you think the crane switching trick is bogus. My friend doesn't believe me, you see. He says badges don't move once they appear.

I managed to tip it over twice so I'm sure you can do it too.

@Freelance: Thank you so much for going above and beyond with the helpful video! I'll be sure to try it tomorrow, if I get a free play, of course. Waluigi still looks tough to get, but it's definitely possible without the bullet bill in the way. Also, Larry Lovers Unite! It would be nice to get all of the Koopalings, but I'm not willing to spend money on it. I can't stand Wendy though! Your theme looks really cool; making it Christmas themed is a really neat idea. My theme is Splatoon, Luigi, Lyle, and a couple Pokemon, lol. XD No real theme actually, just a bunch of my favorite characters... yours looks WAY better! Thanks again for the help!

I had two free plays today (one from the "boss", & one earned in the practice machine), and I got a Koopa Paratroopa (Green), Hammer, Bullet Bill, and two Blocks.

I struck out today. Two plays and nothing.

I managed to get the whole moon badge set in 1 try! ye boi ye! also the statue got upgraded.

I finally got the Tomodachi cheeseburger to clear the set. That's all I need in that collection.

Anyone else have trouble with the one Animal Crossing set with Blathers and the museum items? Three times I've tried to pull him out and have the items "drain" into the hole but it's impossible to grab him

@JusticeColde: Congrats on getting it. That was the toughest of the foods to get. It was with extreme luck that I was finally able to get mine.

This set was on the practice catcher today and took me four tries to complete. I somehow manged to flip Blathers over on his side, and then I was able to grab him, and let the other badges "drain" out the hole. So yeah, I think Blathers is in a very hard spot for everyone. I don't think it's possible to get him out with one free play, they wouldn't make that easy... Sorry you weren't able to get him, I hope you can get him next time that set is available.

The fact this thread is going on so strong tells me that people really want to personalize their Nintendo products with their own choice. I really hope Nintendo goes full crazy with personalization for user interfaces and other things for the NX. I guess Miis are here to stay but if so.... Mii Maker needs to have tons more options as well.

Today I got three of the Mario Kart Mii menu icons

Then I realized they weren't any of the items I keep on the top level of the menu...and I really wanted the Lakitu E-shop and that was the one I missed!

Oh well...hope they bring back more Pokemon soon, I have a whole page with them displayed, they're really nice looking.

Really hope the UK gets something different soon. I'm ready for a change from the countless Animal Crossing badges now.

And Europe gets the same Animal Crossing badges again. I'm starting to think that this is just a cruel joke

No wonder what I try, I still can't get the moon badge and Majora Mask badge with free plays. I guess I should pay for 5 turns.

I had a seriously good haul today. With the crane trick, I managed to snag:

Green block
Blooper
2 Cheep Cheeps
Thwomp
Flower that looks like a boomerang
Koopa Troopa wearing glasses kart
5 different coloured balls of yarn

I used one of my free plays to try to get that Yoshi blocking the hole (the one with the fruits) so all the fruits would be knocked down, but I couldn't get a hold of Yoshi. Then I got another free play from the practice catcher and got a purple Chain Chomp head.

I paid for 5 plays to get those fruits (I really want food badges and didn't know there were other food badges besides Tomodachi Life) since I figured it'd be hard (it's the same machine as Blathers). It turned out not to be hard at all. I got Yoshi and as expected, all 5 fruits rolled in the hole (yay!), along with Hammer Yoshi and the claw was holding onto the other Yoshi so I got the complete set in 2 tries.

Then I went for Lemmy and got him. Then I went for Iggy and got him too, along with Larry, Ludwig and Morton.

Luckily, I was able to knock the bullet bill off Waluigi's head, and grab him! I got two more free plays from the practice catcher, and went for Shy Guy. Sadly, I didn't get Shy Guy, but I got Koopa Troopa! Koopa's cute, so I'll take him.

Then I caved and gave the bunny a dollar. XD I managed to get the complete set with Shy Guy, and also got Toad, who was in a very good position after grabbing Waluigi. Hopefully I'll get a free play tomorrow for Larry, and then I'll have all the MK8 badges I want!

The Yoshi Woolly World badges came out today in NA, and there are a lot of them! Good thing I'm not interested in them! The Mario Party 10 badges also came out... I feel bad for whoever wants Rosalina... there's almost no way to get her with a free play.
