Wednesday won't be boring after all.

I beat the main game now trying to find the way to get into the secret worlds.

Well Gamestop in the US really IS not going to to sell DL codes... meaning I'll have to buy 3 3DS cards.

Just throwing something out here. Stuff like this is what I'd like to see in future SMB games, that seems to have been missing...

Remember how awe inspiring to make it through the tower and find this map? To see the map of where you came from in the top left corner so tiny, realizing how high up you are (first time I saw this, I was like " ", then I was like "WEEEEEEEE" ), and listen to the beautiful sky music was breathtaking at first. And then, there's the awesome Super Mario World map (that is apparently coming back in NSMB U). I'm playing through SMB 3 while waiting for NSMB 2 this Sunday, and seeing this second map of World 5 made me realize some of what has been missing in NSMB. The layout of the maps is always the same. There are never any surprises like this, getting to a new map and finding old areas you've been to in the distance. I'm excited for both upcoming NSMBs, but they need to mix things up a bit.

Is it just out in the E-Shop on the 19th for America? Or at retail as well?

Just got New Super Mario Bros. (no, not 2, the DS one) today since the 3DS is my first handheld thus I have not played it yet and so I can prepare for NSMB2!

Anybody downloaded it yet? It's been out for an hour now (in the UK) and I'd have it myself already if I hadn't decided that I definitely want the box and I am waiting til morning to get it from my game shop. Hurry up, 8.30 GMT!

Yeah I was also wondering who has paid 39.99 to download it and also how long did it take u to download

I dont think anyone in Australia will be stupid enough to download it for $70 when it retails for like $55.

My (physical of course) copy arrived earlier today. It's some good fun, but I cant help but feel Nintendo just havent put enough into this one. NSMB for the DS had all those great minigames that you could play multiplayer on - this has none of them. Although the graphics are improved, the 3D effect is minimal and the music is nothing new. I got two copies of the game so that my brother and I could play through. Quickly noticing we could only advance one of our play files, we decided to start hopping back and forth with who's game we followed.

The game is still very good - but they could have done more with it, and I get the feeling with this game much more than with 3D Land. None the less - it's going to get me through the game drought, and now that Animal Crossing AND Luigi's Mansion 2 are both confirmed not coming this year, it's going to be necessary.

Some good news is that the star coins are actually well hidden in this game - and they actually prove a challenge to get at many points - Unlike in the DS version...

Forgot about the mini games. This were really fun! I had such a high record in wanted @_@

I loved the minigames in the DS game, I also loved Mario vs. Luigi. That was really overlooked and underrated in my opinion, I was hoping they would bring that mode back in NSMB2, but oh well. I'm glad to hear the star coins are well hidden, that'll give it more replay value.

Does anyone know if North America gets the special yellow boxes?

No yellow? D: I was gonna give this box a special place for being yellow. Now I guess I'll just plop it right next to KI:U on my 3ds Shelf.

Not the game case itself, but my KI: U box has a special spot right below the TV in full view. And yeah, NoA never does anything fun...

They did have the NSMBW box colored red like the other regions, but this one actually makes sense with the game's theme and they don't do it.

Eh, I'm probably just gonna go with the download...I think the "New" games are more fitting for a handheld than home console anyways. So I doubt I'll sell it anytime soon.
