Was just prowling my Facebook news feed when I came across this. Anyone else rethinking their position on the retail vs. download issue?

I'm reconsidering as well. I just wish they'd announce how much space the game will need on our SD cards.

I'm not, still retail. I won't change my decision for the sake of more Club Nintendo coins..

Also I hear on Aug 19 EVERY retail game will be available for DL on the eShop, if so I might just pick up M&S London 2012

I feel like if this game JUST had a different soundtrack, I would be infinitely more positive about it. I mean I'm buying it and all, but c'mon Nintendo, the exact same music as NSMBW with a few more "bah's" here and there? Lazy.

Where did you hear that? If true I will pick up Mario Kart 7 and 3DLand.

It's a good thing I loved the music from the Wii game though.

I will always choose physical copies over retail downloads. The Nintendo download stores will remain as stores for VC and 'ware games for me. I like having the boxes and cartridges/discs. It feels more like I own something as I have something physical. Also, even if I wasn't opposed to retail downloads, I wouldn't download this as I couldn't get it pre-owned for £20 or less which is what I'm doing with this lazy game.

Darn I can't find it, but I read something about KH being available same day as NSMB2 and they said its not just KH its all first party and majority 3rd parties, but I guess we'll have to wait until next week to see what happens in Japan or on Aug 19 for US

I wish it had a new soundtrack as well, (I've probably said that 10 times on this forum topic ) but this still looks really fun. I just can't bring myself to passing up a new Mario game, I'm too in love.

The soundtrack is somewhat altered. I hope they keep the Volcano music from NSMB.. Loved that track.

I was fine the music on the DS, seeing enemies dance to the "bah"s was fun....but then it got old after that. >_>

i played NSMB2 today at the manchester comic con it was awesome the circle pad was very sensitive whilst playing (that could have just been the 3DS XL) but it was fun played it about ten times before some woman told me to play something else

Why didn't they at least recycle the original New Super Mario Bros. DS game's music? That way it would feel less familiar, at least to me. I really like the remixed main theme for the overworld though.

I thought those were the best NSMBW songs too but it would still seem lazy to me if they were the same, especially if the final boss music wasn't new. The final boss themes from both the previous games were awesome so they should at least try to make another awesome final boss theme for NSMB2.

Is the circle pad the only control option? No D-pad? If that's the case, I may have a BIG problem controlling it because I can't stand using the circle pad when playing the DS original. 2D Mario platformers are infinitely more comfortable to me with D-pad controls.

I have a 2 gigabyte ad card with only 4,152 blocks left. Is this game worth the download or should I buy retail? Or should I get a bigger sd card and transfer all my data to it?

It would be unfathomable not to have support for the D-pad so I wouldn't get too worried. After all, what else would you be using it for?

@ZeekyInc - I'd go with the bigger SD Card myself. A lot of bigger retail chains will start their "back to school/get ready for college" sales soon, so you can probably get a nice card for fairly cheap in the upcoming weeks. I personally grabbed an 8GB one for $9 last year during those sales, so I'm sure you can catch a deal as good as or better than that if you keep your eyes open. As for your retail vs. download question, that's up to your personal choice, but keep in mind you get 100 CN Coins for the download but only 50 Coins if you go retail.
