I did just buy an XL a few months ago, but I feel like I can probably sell it on eBay for at least a hundred bucks, maybe more. So, sell XL, buy New 3DS, (Normal) do system transfer before shipping old XL. That way I could probably upgrade to New 3DS for about $60 or less! (At least, that's what I hope I can do.)

I wouldn't be surprised if that upcoming Mario game, EAD confirmed was for the "New" 3DS.

Nintendo wants to assure this system gets sales, and considering in the past 2 years, Nintendo made a 2D Mario game for 3DS, a 3D Mario Game for Wii U and 2 New Super Mario Bros. for Wii U, I think it's time for a new 3D Mario game for 3DS.

I wonder if Xenoblade was also the remaster coming in 2015.

I sure hope so for the Mario thing, then it will sell better and more games will be made for it.

I don't disagree with your point, but I'd like to point out that New 3DS isn't a next gen system, it's a mid gen upgrade that happens to have exclusives.

I'd love to say I'm super excited but I was more confused than I thought I would be. I was definitely NOT expecting an update to the 3DS, in fact me and my friends convinced ourselves that the 3DS was not going to get a new renovation like the DS-DSi but obviously we were wrong haha.

I'll definitely get one if there is a Xenoblade Chronicles LE version of the N3DSXL. Most definitely. But I'm a bit disheartened because I love my 3DSXL and to see it get super shafted almost overnight kind of makes me sad. I love the CPPXL and always hoped it'd get more love from the big N but apparently NOW they decide to add the extra analog nub lol.

I'll probably end up getting one, I was debating on whether I should pick up a spare 3DS but now I don't have to decide. I'll just wait till, hopefully, a Xenoblade Chronicles themed N3DSXL will come out stateside!

Yep, but since it doesn't look like NA is getting the New 3DS anytime soon, I just gotta make sure I don't accidentally destroy my XL somehow while I'm wating. Maybe I'll just stick it in a fireproof safe until the New 3DS comes out!

That RAM has me sold. It will do wonders for multitasking and games late in the 3DS life span will undoubtedly make use of it. Take that with the faster CPU, and rumored VRAM, plus the proper control layout, and I'm sold. Now all we need is Miiverse messaging, and I'd be happy to say it truly feels like a next-gen experience, by handheld standards anyways. Better cameras and flash mean my 3DS will no longer be blind. I never thought Nintendo would do this so soon.

Wait it has better cameras and a flash?

I dunno, I'm guessing the camera is better, since the system uses the inner one for 3D viewing. (that's what I got from that video, anyways, lol)

Great news for the people who don't have 3DS yet, but BIG kick to the groin for existing users. I would be perfectly fine with it if they woudn't announce "exclusivity" for Xenoblade. What a stupid move? I have my 3DS XL a little bit over a year. I spend over 450 € on that thing so far. And this is what I got??

I really, really wanted to play Xenoblade on 3DS. But I won't support Nintendo for this d*ck move. They need to learn a lesson. I can download Dolphin emulator anytime and play Xenoblade in 1080p and with AA support on my PC. It won't be portable, but it will be free. Nintendo won't see my money anymore. I will buy their game only if I find one preowned.
