Really? Well that's cool Yeah I was just wondering, because I thought it was a tad strange that you chose the number 8 haha! Who knew us gamers could be studied as well! ANYWAY, how about that New 3DS huh? It's, in a word, amazing. I never want to play without the 3D effect.

The New 3DS is amazing. I loving it every moment and did not regret my decision in upgrading. I'm one of the people who LOVED the 3D effect, but on the original model it is extremely frustrating to use. The face tracking 3D is like a miracle to me. I haven't turned off the 3D since I got it on February 12th.

@bezerker99 Good luck. Keep us posted.

I didn't really keep up with the news, but I wondered: If you play a regular 3DS game on a New 3DS xl, does that look worse then on a regular New 3DS. And hows that with Majora's mask 3D, wich was made a bit with the New 3DS in mind? I remember people complaining about DS games looking bad on DSi XL devices, so I just wondered. Also, does Majora's mask look significantly better on a New/New XL 3DS compared to the old one? Not that I have plans for a New 3DS at the moment, I just wondered. Its stupid though that you Americans only get the XL so far, hopefully you guys get more options in the future.

It should look almost identical.

The problem with the XL models (New & Old) is that they have the same resolution as the standard models (New & Old), and therefore they're stretching an image over a wider area, making the picture look like it's running at a lower resolution, but again, not overly noticeable.

The difference between the standard and XL models of either edition is probably slightly noticeable, but I wouldn't let that stop you buying one, I'd take a big screen over a slightly less crisp image anyday for a portable.

You need to give me your friend code otherwise you won't be able to add me. We need to both add each other. It's stupid I know, the Wii U's friend system is much better.

EDIT: Nvm, you have your friend code on your profile page. I'll add you tonight

Currently tracking the shipping of my New 3DS XL Monster Hunter edition, which will arrive today.
I am pretty excited. =]
Though I wasn't that interested at all at first amazon and the internet hype played their tricks pretty well on me.
So much looking forward right now.

It's still miles better than the DS and Wii friend system

I thought I was getting a New 3DS last night when I came home to find my 3DS XL cracked in the corner near the memory card slot. At first it would not read the SD card or game card until I took the back cover off to inspect the inside. Nothing seemed to be out of place so I snapped the back cover back on, fire it up, and it worked again.

I'm still fired up about the "incident" in general so I still may pick up a New 3DS anyways.

I always liked playing in 3D on the old system so that would be the thing I'm most interested in.

@dkxcalibur if you love playing in 3D like I do, the New xl is a must upgrade. I've had it since Feb 12th, the 3d was never turned off

While I like that quote and agree I think it is also important to do self-evaluations to see how far you have come. So comparing Nintendo's current friend system to their old ones isn't that bad.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

You know, another thing that I have found invaluable about the New 3DS is the little "control nipple" they put on there. I was slightly concerned that after a long time (or maybe even a short time) my finger would hurt from using it. As it turns out, it's super comfortable to use and very sensitive! It makes MH4U much more easy to play. If you are reading this, and you are considering a New 3DS, take that into account. You won't be sorry!

the C-stick is very good in some games but when you need it like a proper second stick it's a little lacking, like in Resident Evil Revelations, you need very precise pushing on that sensitive thing to get good shots in.

Totally agree but what the c-stick lacks the stable 3d now allows for better gyro aiming in full 3d!
