If your happy face is on change your avatar as you still just look mad lol!
I'm working on it. Its difficult with no PC in my apt. I could go to where I work and use my computer there but its sleeting outside atm. I will look on my phone and see if I have a happier image.

I do everything on my phone as well. I only did the transfer on my wife's new computer as her old one just corupted everything. Other then that I don't touch computers as they don't like me lol.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
@Hy8ogen
I've owned several computers over the years. It always seems I spend five or six hundred dollars on one only to have it fail slowly over the next couple of years. The last computer I had I signed up for a Steam gaming acct but absolutely none of the games would run on it. I used my PC primarily for web use and recording (yes, I record music as I play guitar and various other instruments). When my last PC died, I didn't replace it. I have a nice computer at my job that I am in front of 8 hours a day. When I get home from work the last thing I want to do is park my butt at a desk and mess around on a computer. When I get home I want to play video games and the only games I could ever make work are my consoles and handhelds (excluding New 3DS XL, which is acting so wack for me).
and now a days I have so many devices that connect to my wifi that allows me to surf the Internet I did not see a reason outside of recording my music to get another computer right away. I have not had a computer in my apartment since February of 2012. And because of these devices and my computer at work I have not really missed it.
EDIT: I would like to have a tablet or a laptop but I do not have the money for anything like that atm. I would really dig a Mac Pro, despite me not being an Apple fan, but its waaaaay to expensive for me right now.
Sorry guys but I need to get this off my chest. How the heck do some of you not own a PC? How? Just, how?
You don't know you want one until you've had one. I've had a Steam account since Portal, but it was only in the last two years I learned to bask in the magical glory of "Steam Sales".

I had Portal on my Steam but it wouldn't load on the computer I had. I must not have bought an expensive enough computer. but I'm just not made of money.
I remember back in 1997 I wanted to play Final Fantasy VII but I didn't have a PlayStation (only had an N64 at the time). In 1998 they made FFVII for the PC and since I had a computer, I bought it. I had so many issues getting the game to run that it literally have me a headache most nights. ultimately that game would run for about 20 minutes and then lock up on me. Ever since 1998 and that game I have had issues with gaming on computers and I still to this day have not figured it out lol. I will admit I am NOT a computer guru but it should not be that difficult to play a game on a computer. Again my consoles have never let me down. My original Nintendo Entertainment System from 1987 still works just fine. I don't have time to try and figure stuff out. I just want to turn on the power and play the game without any catches or glitches of any kind.
@bezerker99 But but what about Dota 2? Starcraft? Counter Strike? Also surfing the net and checking mails is just sooo much better on a PC than on any other devices. Sure they can do the same thing but it's just much more fluid on a PC. Not to mention organization of files. Sounds like you need a Surface Pro 3 to me. A PC that's trying very hard to be a tablet.

I work at a radio station and have been there for the last 13 years. I can check my email and surf the internet there all day if I want. Which a lot of times that's what I'm doing lol along with my other responsibilities there (multi tasking for the win). I use my android smart phone to access to net and check social media and emails when I'm not at work. Also I use my Wii U to surf the net at home.
For the record, the only video games I ever got to play fullly on my old PCs were Sid Meier's Civilization II and Civ III (omg, great games!!! Sooo addictive ).
Back in the late 80s/early 90s I had a PC that ran on DOS and I was a master at using it. I had lots of games on 5 1/4 inch floppy disk and they all worked. AD&D games were my fave to play. So technically I've had lots of games play on a PC but....I can't get a modern day computer to work right for me. I have given up on PC gaming.....
I use an iPad for email and web browsing and it's very fluid. But the more intensive tasks are reserved for the computer.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
I had Portal on my Steam but it wouldn't load on the computer I had. I must not have bought an expensive enough computer. I'm just not made of money...
Steam Store, Portal page:
MINIMUM: 1.7 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, DirectX® 8.1 level Graphics Card (Requires support for SSE), Windows® 7 (32/64-bit)/Vista/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection
A computer with those specs will most likely cost you less than a New 3DS nowadays.
I will concede that part of my affinity for PC gaming is that I love fine-tuning settings.
@midnafanboy
Wait, you were serious?
Poe's Law in action.
@midnafanboy A personal computer to me, is not a toy, it's a tool (well it can be a toy sometimes ). A PC is not just a platform to play video games buddy. I need to run SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Visio, Photoshop, Excel, etc. Not to mention the file organizational capacity of a PC in unrivaled. So yeah, I can't imagine someone not having a PC at home.
Case in point, if @bezerker99 had a PC back home, he wouldn't have to be going through such a ordeal with his 3DS amiright?
Although I do agree for some folks, a tablet is more than enough to satisfy their needs. Really though, @bezerker99 if you want a tablet to replace a PC, you should really consider a Surface Pro 3. It's a PC dressed in a tablet coat.
Nintendo fan since 6 years of age.
Owned: SNES, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, DS, 3DS, Wii U, PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 and PSP3000.
At least my download of Portal was free when I got it so I didn't spend any money for it to not work. Lol
I would be interested in getting another computer but I would need the guidance of u fine people to help me choose what I should get.
FYI - I threw away my old and flimsy computer desk last May because it was taking up much needed space in my apt.
I feel you on the space complaint. I just moved to a smaller house, and had to toss tons of stuff.
One place you might want to look into is Good Old Gaming. They've got tons of golden-era PC RPGs (Ultima, Wizardry) for ridiculously cheap. Plus, since they're old, they'll run on anything.
All in all, I think there's a better place to discuss this than here. All I found was this topic last posted in in 2014. I don't want to post in there in case of necrobumping, and I don't want to make a topic and get told to go to the old topic. I fear incurring the wrath of the new Megalomania- I mean, Mods
@midnafanboy
Excellent trolling. 7.8/10 Not enough irony.
@nacho_chicken Ultima is so awesome!!! I dream of the day when Nintendo releases its NES version of Ultima on the Virtual Console. Of course this will never happen. I've heard of GoG and I should definitely look into it as I like those old-school titles.
@Hy8ogen Thanks for the recommendation! I will certainly do some research on my computer at work sometime this week. And Yes, if I had had a PC, I wouldn't have gotten so stressed and upset with all these 3DS transfer woes. (Also, a PC would have made all THAT^ much easier and faster to type.)
I'm almost at the point to where I'm going to end up buying an SD card adaptor for my PC at work. I saw one at Wal-Mart (yuck) for about $16-$17. I really don't want to spend that sort of money though for something I see myself using just once.
