I'm not even fazed by these types of videos anymore. Every new system gets this treatment. I'd say the only thing that bothered me was the guys voice. It was irritating and snobbish and condescending-sounding. Ugh

The digital games you download on your system are connected to your account, not the system right?
How does this apply to "limited editions", where there's a game pre-installed on the system? You didn't create an account yet, so I take it's bound to your sytem for eternity?

No, once you transfer your account over you have to redownload the pre-installed game hence it is then attached to your account. As for if it's your first console, don't have a clue.

I have run into an issue where I have the headphones out of the system while closed it will not play sound out of speaker after opening it back up. I have to restart the system to make it work right but run into the same problem. The work fine if I plug the headphones back in and listen only through the headphones. Has anyone run into this problem?

Actually both. You have an account, but it is linked to the system. What most people get wrong is that there's no account when in fact there is, but currently only system transfer and Nintendo themselves can transfer the content to another system.

When you transfer an account through system transfer, the pre-installed game becomes part of the transferred account but you have to redownload it from the eshop since the new system was formatted in the process.

great with all these problems I'm spooked about getting a N3DSXL....now I gotta wait until the next gen system comes out from nintendo...even then, I have to wait until they release a revision of that system before I buy another handheld.

Have you returned your system yet? The stable 3d really needs to be seen as it's a huge added feature.

I'm going to go ahead and disagree with you on just about everything you said. Here are my opinions:

• The ZL and ZR buttons aren't awkward at all, in fact they're in the best position they can be, where you can place the joint of your fingers on the L and R buttons with the tips on ZL and ZR.
• Every previous game released that supports the CPP supports the ZL and ZR buttons as well as the C-stick.
• I get that you said the games you personally play don't use amiibos, but the fact remains that their inclusion in the games they do feature in are a welcome addition and the possibilities for amiibo use in future games are exciting. In fact the amiibos are one of the main reasons I got a N3DS XL.
• Faster internet speed is super helpful for downloading games from the eShop, and the faster CPU speed makes doing basically anything no longer an exercise in patience.
• The 6th brightness is not a make-or-break feature in my opinion. It is MORE than bright enough.
• The new placement of the Start and Select buttons is perfect; leagues ahead of that awkward below-the-touch-screen placement. And the soft buttons don't feel very good. The tiny circle hard buttons beat them by a mile.
• Not that I had any problems with the 3D before, but the super stable 3D is SO much better. A massive improvement.

And I think I covered everything.

New 3DS XL is terrible.

Are you saying that because you lost save data? Did you lose save data? Why do you feel that way. I personally think it's a nice step up from my last XL

I lost all my save data as well but all my records are still intact. You don't lose the records just now you don't see any on your system.

@Tech You lost all your data, too? Did you use the PC transfer method? I did and didn't lose anything except for the DSiWare games on my system memory.

I did because my wife's old computer (which I shouldn't have used in the first place) corrupted all my data. I had to redownload almost 30gigs worth of games and dlc.
