I was just browsing around You Tube looking for some info on the 3DS because I apparently enjoy torturing myself by watching such videos. Anyway, I came across one video that details a couple of the AR games, Star Viewer, and Billiards. Then I see a part 2 to that video so I clicked it. Apparently after you have "beaten" each of the 6 initial AR games, a new box shows up on the main menu bringing you to a place where you can purchase more AR games with your collected Play Coins!! There are 8 additional ones to buy at various PC prices. The video unfortunately only details 3 of those other games but it is still very exciting to know there are actually 14 AR games in all! The ones that were detailed looked very good (especially the second one) and I can definitely see myself losing hours on the AR program alone! ANyway, Here is the video for you viewing pleasure! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcLmeDkx8HI
I still don't quite understand just what these AR games actually are
Okay, lemme try to explain them. AR Games are pre-loaded applications that come with the 3DS. You play them using cards called AR Cards. There are 6 that come with the 3DS. You go to the AR Games app on the 3DS menu, place the card on a table or some other surface, and you use the camera to play a AR Game, like Target Shooting, or use the Star Viewer to view models of characters from famous Nintendo games, and other things. (AR stands for augmented reality)
Wow. Now that i see what the AR cards can do, I think it's possible for the newer Pokemon games that will come out for 3DS to have AR Pokemon battles on my table. That would be sweeeeeeeeet.
Currently playing: 3DS: KI: Uprising Wii: Xenoblade Chronicles "Heh, heh... Thanks... You're nice. Umm... Can I ask... a question? Your friends... What kind of... people are they? I wonder... Do these people... think of you...as a friend?"
