Oh my god, Nibelsnarf! What is this thing?! I don't remember fighting it in MH4U. What an absolute pain this monster is to fight!
Didn't die to it, but I used all of my potions and spent the entire fight running around like a chicken with its head cut off because this stupid thing kept ambushing me from all directions the whole fight.
Only mounted it three times the whole fight because he's almost constantly moving and keeps 90% of his body under the sand when he's not actively trying to murder you.
...lol, because he wasn't in MH4 or 4U. For us he first showed up in 3U.

@Tsurii I know its a 6* quests where you have to actually hunt and kill/cap the monster, forgot what it is but can let you know after I get it, just starting 6* with the prowler
@Tsurii Just got the 3rd cart from doing the 6* "Surrounded by Blue and Green" which unlocks after doing "The Right Cattitude".
Yea I'll prob 100% offline stuff before I go online, I have a friend that's trying to get into Monster Hunter so its taking him awhile ... whenever he does take a break from Smite/Overwatch... blahhhhh. I'm looking forward to getting online tho so dunno how long i will last waiting on him xD
I wana fight Dreadqueen! and how does the Furr-ious prowler move work... i've tried using it a couple times and my cat fails and it just takes all 5 of my bars xD.
Ah, so he's one of the monsters that didn't appear in the last game. The bomb idea seems solid. I'll do that when I fight it again. Will also design a hammer to use against him and other monsters that I want to stun or break stuff off of.
Just fought Glavenus for the first time in a mushroom collection quest. This thing has a TON of HP. Is this really the low rank version of this monster or what?
@Tsurii Ah, OK. I didn't enough time after fighting him to collect mushrooms, so I failed the quest. The second time I played it, I just paintballed him and then bailed. It's nice to know it won't take as long to kill him in a proper offline hunt.

...Holy crap Blangonga is a nightmare now...never had that much trouble fighting him before. Don't tell me Rajang is going to be even worse than he was in 4U now. >.<

Speaking of snow, I actually love the Blagonga fight. He's like a less boring / annoying Congalala combined with a less broken Rajang. Plus, with skill, adept style wrecks him. The long sword's Fire Emblem down-B counter attack also works well. Why do all the hunting arts remind me of Smash moves?
Anyway, on to Popodrome... Ehhhh, he's alright. Out of all of the new monsters, I was most hyped for Gammoth and he's just kind of... there. He's large, uses a lot of status attack, the breaks are obtuse, and the target cam doesn't work very well on him at all. I ended up enjoying Mizutsune, Astalos, and Glavenus more than him in that order of ascending importance.
Aww, they bought back Cephadrome. That monster was really annoying back in MH4U since it moved fast and spent so long underground. Judging by my first battle with it on Generations, it seems slightly less annoying in this game.
I'm getting decent with the Gunlance now, so I might start trying to learn the Switch Axe.
...He probably played FU already if he said it seems slightly less annoying here. lol
Though I played FU as well and I haven't gotten to Lavasioth, so...lol

Nope, I've not played FU before. I thought that Cephadrome was slightly easier on Generations and it didn't seem to be wasting so much time underground compared to MH4U.
However, I'm probably biased since I'm only at the Low rank mission on Generations, but I'm used to High rank Cephadrome on MH4U.
Alright, I said I was going to play offline for about a week before hopping online, and sure enough, a week later I'm ready to start hunting.
I've held off on doing HR 1 quests until now, because instead of grinding through them by myself, I figured there would be others that, like myself, want to save some time doing them together.
So if anyone wants to hunt some monsters, just let me know.
