I got two S ranks on Apex Deviljho today and received 5 brute coins on each run. It was awesome. ^.^

@FattyWhale_42 No, Dragon S really is more of a straight hit, but by far not as important as Pierce Shots and attack power. Also, you're right, Dragon S capabilities (or any other element shots) can't get slotted in. Dunno how I could forget that, sorry.
I don't have access to my PC right now, bu I'll look into a good setup to solo-HBG Dala. Can't be too hard, considering there already are Gogmazios Solo-runs with HBG out there.

Well, this time I just used Pierce Lv. 2/3 and Normal S Lv. 2/3, brought as much stuff as I could to make more Pierce Lv. 2/3 and Normal S Lv. 3, used it all, used every bomb, ate for Temper (to boost ALL my shots), used Attack support Palicoes... and I STILL ran out of time. -_-

If you can't do something, watching Japanese players wreck stuff always helps. Just put in Youtube search: "mh4/g [JP monster name] [JP weapon name]" and you'll usually find tons of results. You can get the JP names from the MHWiki.

Anyone looking to hunt something a little more, idk, challenging? I don't care what, but I've got about an hour or so before I go to bed and wouldn't mind taking down some monsters...

I'd love to, but I can't seem to break into G-rank, and I'm getting pretty frustrated, because I can't do anything until I finally get it.

...What's the deal with high rank Shagaru not appearing in the Hall again? Anyways if I can't get a Dissenter I may go online for a bit if anyone wants to help me clear some quests of mine. HR 6/7

Advanced quests only show up randomly (I'm assuming it's advanced anyways)

Might try hunting online. Or master more than one weapon. That's what most of us do- we have at least 3 different weapons we can use efficiently. Gunning doesn't work, go blademaster.

If I can't find someone then I might have to. I just didn't want to have to build another armor set, and learn another weapon just for one monster.

I'm pretty sure it won't be for just one monster. You'll probably find quite a few in G rank that you absolutely cannot solo as a gunner. Gunners good for teams, but solo, eh, unless you're in that top percentile of skilled users I really feel it's inferior. You're both safer from fainting and more powerful with say,man insect glaive or charge blade

Well the Shagaru quest was an urgent, don't remember seeing Advanced in the name. Also, I'm not ready to deal with Dalamadur yet. xp (besides I want to hunt him alone when I first fight him)

I suppose. But when I was playing through all the weapon tutorials, the only weapon I seemed to be able to use was the Bowgunss.

I'm using an original 3DS without the CPP, so I couldn't even track the monsters up close. That's why the HBG was for me.

I don't see him being too fun to fight alone.

He's too big and slow.
