Do any of you notice some really bad "ghosting" on the two rainbow road courses? I've noticed that when things in the foreground are bright or a light color and behind them is black, there is some really bad ghosting and this is exaggerated on the rainbow roads. In SNES RR, I literally see 3 thwomps for each one. It's really distracting and unfortunate since these are the most beautiful tracks in the game. Even when I turn the 3D lower it's still there, though not as bad.

Anyways, I really like the Lucky 7 item. For one, it's really not that overpowered. It's probably not going to rocket you into first place. It's also really rare, so when I get it I get all paranoid and nervous that I'm going to blow a huge opportunity. And I love that you can steal a persons mushroom/star/blooper by swooping in and timing it perfectly. I've stolen quite a few stars from Lucky 7 users. It's especially fun when you hit the star and then run into them or blow up there bomb and get away with no damage because of the star.

Nope. I never had that problem.

Darn. Now I wonder if it has something to do with me or if there is something wrong with my 3DS. Sigh... I didn't really notice it before, but now it's like it's gotten worse.

It could just be the angle you hold it at or you may be getting a bit paranoid about the ghosting and your mind is tricking you into thinking it's worse than it is? I haven't seen ghosting in either rainbow road.

I just did a little searching and found that this problem happens to a lot of people when there is a bright object in front of a dark background.

Someone who sounds like they know what they're talking about wrote:

"It happens with bright images on dark backgrounds. Parallax barrier is NOT a perfect system. The next time you see it happen, close one eye and you will still notice it. The sweet spot is irrelevant, because here is what is happening...

The parallax barrier makes you see 3D by showing two different images to your eyes. It does this by having a literal barrier block light from going to one eye. A problem arises when the pixel is far brighter than the background, causing the light to be brighter than the parallax barrier can block, so you see the ghosted image.

There is nothing you can really do about it, it's not your fault or the game's fault... it's just the way the parallax barrier works."

So, I guess it's just a flaw in the technology. I'll try turning the brightness down to see if that helps, as I heard that it might.

Not sure if I was playing with you just now Adam (if I was your Mii dyed his hair brown and bought glasses) but I had to go. I'll be racing with Oddy later this evening if you want to join in. :3

I tried joining, but I only ended up spectating until the match after you left since the game was full until then. I never play as Mii and will probably always pick Shy Guy in the near future... likely with the same kart. The options for customization are cool but overwhelming in the number of combinations.

If I'm not in chat, you or Oddy should email me when you do. I'm unexpectedly free this evening, so I'll probably be playing ambassador games for awhile.

Ah okay. I saw a guy called Adam was in the match and there was a shy guy in as well, so I thought it could've been you and the game was just being glitchy, haha. I'm going to play a little Zelda and then I'll try to find Oddy.

Just starting Minish Cap myself, actually, so sounds good. Also, one of you email me when you're ready. My computer died, so it wouldn't be convenient to use chat on my phone. I get email alerts on my phone and will just get online whenever it buzzes, won't be able to chat. Also, since I'll be incapacitated, feel free to choose whatever community settings you guys want, and I will just follow your lead if you ever leave the room or global match.

The chances of getting a blue shell or lightning must double in the last lap. You almost never see them in the first lap, but always at the end of the third lap, like clockwork, comes a blue shell often quickly followed by a lightning. It's a pain trying to get these three stars when that keeps happening, but that's just the way it is in Mario Kart.

I also wish there weren't so many shy guys online. I normally like to pick the more obscure, unused characters and it seems like shy guy is the most used character. Oh well. I guess he should change his name to "Popular Guy."

Playing with NLifers online takes some of the sting out of losing in WW, especially if they do really well when you come in last. Plus if you both start sucking then it's a battle to do better than the other NLifer rather than try to catch up to first place. >:]

Its so hard to get a game going on the community. Because its a cup race you have to sit and wait for people to join or somehow know if someone is going into a room. It's easier to just join someones game from your list.

BTW does Tristen post in here often. I have him on my friends list and race against him a lot but he must of deleted me.
