Okay, so you admit "not snaking" is fun.............I don't know where I'm going with this.

***Not that anyone is crying about it. Just meant in reference to your asking if I'd get mad.

Haha, it's ok. No big deal. I am not one to insist everyone share my view. I don't get the problem with it, but it's Mario Kart with or without it. My skills will be tested either way, which is all I can ask for from a good racing game.

Yes. I will see you on the battle field.

Let's hope the battle mode is better than MK Wii's. That is one area where MK Wii was definitely lacking.

Yea, that was a big, big part of why I didn't like MKW. I love to race, but with Mario Kart, battling is never far from my mind, either.

The funny thing is, I can't really explain what was wrong with MKW's battle mode. It just didn't feel right. DD probably had the best battle mode to date.

I can explain it succinctly: forced team battles, huge arenas.

You can't have fun with a small group because the arenas are way too big, designed solely for huge team battles.

Double Dash's was indeed awesome. Bob-omb mode was a kind of ridiculous party fun. And the Luigi's Mansion level was one of my favorites.

Yeah, I think you nailed it on the head.

Did they confirm the retro battle courses yet? Sorry, this thread is long.

I just edited the post above me to explain better what I meant about online. When I talk about the "game," I talk about the actual contest, to use another word. Not the connectivity features. For instance, if you took MKW's online out, it would still be the same game, to use the term more precisely.

Oh, I see. If you took online out you would be removing MK Wii's best feature (and it certainly wouldn't be the same game to me). I guess we were comparing apples to oranges. Your method gives more of a chance to earlier Mario Karts I guess.

This sounds more like comparing apples to bananas

According to the Super Mario Wiki, N64 Big Donut, GBA Battle Course 1, and DS Palm Shore have been confirmed.

What did they do the past two games: four new, four old stages? I'm wondering if we might expect one more. None of those are quite up to Block Fort standards for retro choices.

MK Wii had 5 and 5, so hopefully MK7 will match that. MK DS only had 4 new and two old (though both retro tracks were great). The new battle stages do sound interesting though, especially Wuhu Town. How sweet does that sound?

Wuhu Island doesn't sound like a bad idea. I'm sure it'll be good. Just not super excited about it. I think I remember there being an ice course, too? I hope so. It hasn't been since the SNES that we've had one of those for battle, if I remember correctly.

Yes, Sherbet Rink. Also Honey Bee House (as well as the bee kart) makes a lot more sense now that the Honey Queen is a playable character. With all this bee themed stuff, we shouldn't have been surprised that she was confirmed.

Honey Bee House... that could be interesting. Sherbet Rink sounds like it may be Shy Guy themed, considering the Sherbet level from MK64. Hope so!

Sherbet Land had penguins, not shy guys. (At least in the Wii remake)
