I'm loving this game, but I must admit the Giant Jungle is intimidating!

My favorite part of this game, by far, are the Giant Jungle levels. I like that the tiles they give you are different every time to make it a slightly different challenge each time I enter the levels. It's a frantic combination of puzzle solving and time management, and it's a lot of fun for me. There is a lot of risk/reward that is involved as well. Do I have enough time to get to that star in the corner, or do I need to start heading for the exit?

There is a lot of content to the game, and I like how the modes have pretty good variation. None of the modes have kept me so engaged where I want to play for an hour straight or anything, but because there are so many other options I just bounce around between the Main Event levels and Mini-games. I'd recommend the game to puzzle fans.

I am having so many problems with this game xD Every time I try to play Many Mini Mayhem, without fail, I get kicked out of the game: "An error has occurred, forcing the software to close. The system will now restart."

I took the SD card out and put it back in. That didn't work. I reformatted it using the SD card formatter recommended by Nintendo. That didn't work. Now to see if it will work properly on the SD card that came with the system (I upgraded to a 32GB), and if that fails, I'll delete and redownload the game (thankfully I'm only 30 stars into the game).

And I agree about Giant Jungle being intimidating. The size of it gives me pause xD

EDIT: Wouldn't work with the SD card that came with the system, so I hope having deleted and redownloaded it works. Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh xD

I bought this game a couple days ago and think it's great. I thought some of the reviews graded this game a little harshly. Yes, it is kind of unoriginal, but a lot of games are. This game adds in some interesting mechanics to the formula. In my mind, it is a lot like Link n Launch and Trajectile on DSiware. Not very original, but a cool theme, lots of polish and a lot of content.

They said that it's a fun game that works well, although there are dozens off similar games on the App Store that have just as much content & play just as well, for a fraction of the price.

The top screen visuals are great, but they don't seem to add much value, as you'll spend most of your time looking at the bottom screen (which looks rather dull).

While it's cool that Nintendo added mini-games, they all get dull quickly, and while the level sharing is a neat addition, lack of customization options keep it from being anything more than a short lived diversion.

It's a solid game for sure, but whether or not a flashy Mario paint job & a simple level editor make it worth 10X as much as it's brethren is up to the buyer.

I just had a great run on Giant Jungle 1 again. Got 6 stars in one shot, just gonna get the last one before I move on.

Not sure how stuck you are, or if this will even help, but you will need to go into that red pipe on the right twice.

That...

...helped so much I feel stupid.

Thank you! Now I can finally move on to the next batch of Puzzle Palace levels. (And sleep. Maybe both.)

After deleting and redownloading, I still have problems with errors but I can play Many Mini Mayhem now. Also, I think the issue is my 3DS not the game.

I definitely say this game is worth $10. I think my favorite mode is Puzzle Palace. I've rediscovered my love for pink! Mario's Main Event is fun too, although I keep forgetting about the garbage can tiles.

Puzzle Palace is also my favorite mode, i completed it a couple of days ago. Now doing The Giant Jungle mode. Level 1 and 2 complete, just one to go.
I have 203 Stars right now, still have to do the stars from the last level of Gaint Jungle and some of the levels from Mario's Main Event and Many Mini Mayhem. Really like this game. Played over 32 hours already.

I end up panicking in Giant Jungle. I know I need to strategize but that seems to fly out the window once the level starts xD Poor Mini DK, I'm sure he'll die many more times than he has already.
Yeah, there's no shortage of content. And I find myself playing for a good length of time per session since I can switch modes if I get a little tired of one. "Just one more puzzle" syndrome.

I think this game represents great value for the price I paid: €10. There is a lot of content, but I still would have rather paid twice and much and got it boxed. I just don't feel the same connection with downloads, and I don't feel the same sense of ownership either. The convenience of having the game always on my 3DS is nice, but at the same time there is something very "throwaway" about downloaded software. However, you can buy your games without leaving the house, or waiting for them to arrive in the post - but as a collector, its going to take an awful lot to convince me to go fully digital in the future. For me, to have my collection on display gives me a sense of pride - games aren't just about gameplay to me I suppose!

Perhaps I went off topic, but this game does represent something; its a major, fully featured Mario franchise game on the 3DS eShop. A sign of things to come in the future?

I was positively surprised by this one! I was never a big fan of the "Mini Mario's" games, but this is a original take on that concept! And while I got stumped pretty quickly by the main-game (because you have to think pretty fast), I got more out of the multiple mini levels! But I like the puzzle palace the most! There you have infinite time to solve a puzzle with the tiles that you get! It gives your brain a workout, I like it!

The more I play the more I like it.

I'm really enjoying the level builder, I spent all night on one level and most of today on another two.

If there was an algorithm for ranking levels by time spent on them I think mine would probably be pretty close to the top of the list...

...seriously...last night I was like: "I'll just take a quick look at the level creator"...I got about two hours sleep.

Anyway...waiting for hearts on mine but two are really difficult so I'm not really expecting hearts. One's against the clock and super-tight and the other appears really simple but requires some out of the box thinking...I could imagine some players just not being able to figure out how it's solved.

My third one's really easy but just more of a creation than an level as such (it's one of the coolest things I've ever done (or that I've been enabled to have done, in this instance, by Nintendo), I just wish people could see it (I love it to bits, I'm so proud of it, it actually made me feel like a game-designer.))

Yesterday I designed crowd-pleaser Mini's on the Move levels in a blatant attempt to get hearts...I'm seriously hooked into "MotM" now.

It seems to get "hearted" (yeah it's a subculture of one (me) at this point) you need a level that looks simple, requires no effort from the viewer (basically a fully automated path to the star) and (if you live in Japan) it helps to include at least one monkey, and to fill the playing field completely, with ordered rows of items (or as close to as possible).

But seriously...the best way to find interesting and/or inventive levels is to use the "Random" option as it seems that nothing even remotely challenging or unusual (in a mechanical design sense) gets into the "all time favourites" category, and it seems (to a certain extent) the weekly favourites: if people can't complete your level there's probably no way they're going to rate it...it's a shame but I guess it's just one of those things. :0/

Edit: ...I know...I'm so needy. Want hearts

I seriously can't seem to stop playing with the level creator. I've spent so many hours on the current one I'm building I'm loosing sleep.

Must say I'm disappointed that having a monkey throw a mini onto the conveyor-belt switch doesn't cause it to switch and reverse the belts...that feels like an oversight.

I wish this game had QR codes so that people could share levels. I think I'll end up posting screenshots of my level layouts to facebook. :0/

Also, it would be cool to have larger areas to build puzzles with as it's either just one challenge per level or it means seriously compacting everything (which takes time and changes the result quite significantly). It would be really cool to be able to build a whole assault course with some kind of transit system between the different sections.

I think it would be good to be able to slow the rate of the tiles dropping into the queue almost to a complete stop, or even better to just be able to give a set number of them to the player at the beginning of the stage (currently building levels with the tile flow completely switched off).
