Lttp came out when I was 9 and has always been in my top 5 games of all time. I played through it no less than 20 times as a kid probably, and have played through it periodically throughout my adult years, as well.
LBW's announcement was a dream come true. It fulfilled every promise it made, I had a blast playing it, and I score it a 10/10.
It also, however, made me realize how it's kind of pointless to make a sequel of a game that isn't very heavily story based. Besides sharing the orld, it isn't any more "sequel-ish" than the way every Zelda is to each other. There just wasn't much of a story to build on. A lost boy? 2 twins fighting? Where were they really going to go with it?
Anyway, LOZ is my favorite series for 2 reasons: Adventure & Puzzles. Those're it's biggest strengths in my mind.
LBW was great & I'm glad it happened. It allowed me to see how one of my favorites would've been had it been done today. It also somehow removed the need for me to keep replaying Lttp. It was awesome while it lasted & it's time to move on to new iterations of the franchise.
i know what you mean. its nice to see the old places in a new style, and im glad there were some changes too. its also nice that there is a bit more of a story and more lively characters this time.
