I'll see what I can do. I'm gonna finish the album first. I won't be able to pitch bend, because otherwise, I would be on the Streets of Rage soundtracks!
Well, KORG-M01D is a program based on KORG from 1988, and DSN is more user created with the touch screen with added visual cues to help customize your audio files. It depends on what you're looking for, in terms of sound files.

So... I updated the thread title to Korg DSN-12, as well. I got KORG DSN-12 with some eShop funds for Christmas while it was on sale along with Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and Fast Racing Neo. I haven't messed around with it much, but I'll be messing with it and might post something.
I'm using the Bluedio R+ with an off brand in-line mic that make them work as voice chat, like Beats by Dre, so remember that you can get amp/battery powered headphones with an in-line mic, so you can use them for wired voice chat on your game consoles, because otherwise they only work as voice chat over bluetooth.
It might seem like pointless information, but it's important if you're not sure about what headphones to get.

So far, not good. KORG M01D is my preference between the 2, so I might call Nintendo for a refund or exchange for the other KORG. Also, the audio cable I bought has much higher quality audio than the stock cable, so that's a plus.
EDIT: So, I ended up getting the exchange from DSN-12 to M01D, but it's probably a rare occurrence, so it's not my advice to call about wasting $0.99 or so on some small game. They also are gonna delete KORG DSN12 off of my account by tommorow, like they did with some guys "false" Club Nintendo rewards(he 2 accounts). So ya, alls well that ends well.
That's nice. I just couldn't stand DSN-12. I thought I'd be able to make the synth run tracks like M01D, but apparently not. I would have spent more time in M01D, but I just barely got it, and I didn't want to go to my brother's 3DS for KORG.

GYEEARRGH. Stupid question. I accidentally deleted a song in M01D that I've been working on for about half a year now and that was almost done, thanks to the main menu being nearly impossible to read on the train (also, I hadn't used the software in a couple of weeks, which was apparently enough time for me to completely forget how the menu works I guess). Is there even the slightest chance that song's data is still hanging out on my SD card waiting to be overwritten by something else? Or did I just crush my own dream of using this song to lead off a demo CD that I was going to hand out to my friends with connections?? Man... I love the M01D nearly as much as I HATE that stupid barely-visible main menu, but holy crap do I feel stupid.
Oh hey, I forgot that this forum thing exists. Remember that song I erased all those years ago? No? Oh. Well anyway it took me a year or so but I went back and re-made it: https://soundcloud.com/kurtasbestos/oyatsu_time Also, I totally had M01D and DSN-12 confused, because I've made quite a few songs using the latter, but only one using the former. After finishing that song, I decided to go back and finish some of my other unfinished songs (most of which were made using the KORG DS-10+ and started over 10 years ago), and I did a "song of the month" thing in 2020 to motivate myself to actually finish them, and it worked! I'm sure it's a long shot, but if anyone out there is still using any of these crazy KORG synthesizers on Nintendo machines (I'm still kind of on the fence about picking up KORG Gadget for my Switch), please feel free to check them out on my Sound Cloud account!

Yo, i saw you played KORG for Switch.
Is that hard to compose a new song from scratch ?
In my brain, i have at least 3 songs that i created by myself by humming, got inspired from DDR songs. The songs concept that i created was about Boxing, just like Eurobeat songs theme (Racing / Romance / Brokenheart / Pain aka TOHO Eurobeat ) and i imagined my Boxer Raphael B. Laughton was the star for 2 Boxing tunes and one was instrumental Power Fusion boxing tunes like Ride on the Light from DDR Ultramix 2 starred by duo young boxer Endymion and anthro boxing rabbit Bruce. Btw, those are my ideas.
I still have no experience in making tunes with KORG or something but making video games style tunes looks very interesting.
@Anti-Matter I think if you already have a tune in your head and have some experience in terms of selecting the right pitch for each note then no, I wouldn't describe it as hard.
My trouble is I don't tend to have whole tunes in my head - I tend to just use it to experiment so far. I've started composing a couple of tracks, but make them up as I go and don't get very far before I just get distracted experimenting with different sounds.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
@gcunit
Sometimes, when i was driving to my home with mount bike, i was humming or singing randomly and sometimes i could arrange into a whole song but unfortunately i oftenly forgot the whole songs after i finished singing the verse. The easiest attempt i have ever tried by humming or singing with babbling lyrics was sorrow piano trance song or Boys style Ballad songs. I imagined female singer was singing piano trance song. The singing style i choose sometimes like Tess Mattison with few lyrics but powerful voices. For Boys style Ballad song, i imagined Peabo Bryson singing style in 90's or a little bit rap ballad like NKTOB.
Oh, you should listen Tomoyuki Uchida songs. He was former BEMANI artist from Konami who contributed his songs for Beatmania IIDX, Keyboardmania and other BEMANI games.
