I believe it is an old DS game. However, if you like soccer and rpgs, you may get some enjoyment out of this game. You basically play a character who is trying to revive the soccer club at his school. On your quest to revive the soccer club, you will meet people in and out of school to recruit. There are about a 1000 people to choose from with their own unique set of stats. The fun part is tweaking your team and cultivating your players to bring out their special abilities. Along the way, you will be challenged by other schools and outside of school. If you like micromanaging your team, you'll love this game!
Man, I'm torn too. I was really hoping for a physical release. I think it looks pretty interesting and Level-5 seem pretty liberal when it comes to discounts (just look at the Guild games) so hopefully there is a nice sale on this, at this point I don't mind waiting for it.
i doubt this gets many discounts like the other LEVEL 5 games get
someone said it was something like Pocket League Story for the app store not sure if this is true or not.
was about to buy it saturday but then i got AGE OF DEMONS on my vita in the mail via gamefly ... So i can wait for a sale
THOSE who are in the states BEST BUY has 20% off E SHOP Cards starting next sunday FEB 23 to MARCH 1

I'm torn between getting this or Weapon Shop De Omasse anyone have any thoughts they both look cool but I only have the funds to buy 1 or the other at this time. I also think this will eventually gets price drop sale at some point. Level 5 has been great with sales. This isn't the first time their games have been on sale. I could see This dropping about 5 bucks in 6 months or so.
Still playing 3DS but will have Switch soon for multiplayer with friends. I miss you guys! Adam, Joni, Gavin and the rest of the Blue Rogues from the Phantasy Star Zero Days.

I don't understand why many of you are thinking this is going to get a price drop just because the Guild titles got discounts.
The Guild titles are small "mini games" that were originally bundled together as a mini-game collection in Japan. They were then separated, localized, and put onto the eShop as individual mini-games in other territories.
Inazuma Eleven is a retail game, not a small part of a mini-game collection. $20 is already cheap for a retail title.

This. It's a full retail game that's e-shop only in the states like Dual Destinies and Senran Kagura Burst. The only reason it's only $20 is because it's a DS game. Otherwise, it'd be the regular $40 price. You're going to be waiting a good while to even get a $5 discount and even then, that'll probably never come either.
Currently playing: M&L: Dream Team. Ace Attorney Dual Destinies
Waiting for: Kirby Triple Deluxe, Super Smash Bros, Puzzle & Dragons Z, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney
I ended up buying this last night and have put in 4 and a half very frustrating hours of playing this. The graphics for starters are pretty bad. Dont expect a 3d extravaganza cause use of 3d is minimal. The storyline is this horrible juvenile storyline that even a kid in junior high might want to separate themselves from. now the soccer itself. There is no Fifa/PES soccer about it. You dont have much control at all over your players. you can pass the ball once in a while and try to get ball up field to shoot. but the soccer portion of the game is terrible and frustrating. I am seriously perplexed how this game gets shining reviews it does. I love all the Level 5 games in the Eshop except this one. I also enjoy a good sim game from time to time and this isnt a good sim game. If your lookin for a sim to play dont waste your 20 bucks on this. I got more enjoyment out of Bookstore Dreams than I have with my 4 and half hours of this hunk of a bad game. sorry but this game is definately not for me.
Wait for a sale if your pondering this. or just do yourself a favor and move along. I wish I had moved along.

I have to disagree.
I've put about ten hours into it so far, and I've really been enjoying it.
Maybe it's not for everyone or maybe it's not what you were hoping it'd be, but there's reasons why it has positive reviews and I'd personally recommend it to anyone else thinking about giving it a go.

I still plan to keep on going just to be fair to the game. who knows maybe at some point I will start to enjoy it. I could also be RPG'd out right now. ive been hitting the RPG's hard.

It is a port of a DS game, so the lack of good, 3D graphics isn't all that surprising.
The soccer part definitely takes some getting used to (took me about 10 hours to get used to it), and the lack of Fifa-style play is definitely a good thing. I feel like a more realistic experience would have detracted from the game's charm greatly.
I could be wrong, but I feel like you may be setting yourself up to dislike this game by expecting a sim game rather than an RPG.
I will admit, the story is cliche (and pretty shallow too), but I still think the game was a fun and entertaining experience.
