But seriously, while I wasn't waiting as hard as others, it is very upsetting news...I also just learned Prey 2 was canceled last year. That one really got to me...
I'm trying to ignore that. It's a large corporation, no one knows **** half the time about their own company anyway (how about those 3rd parties, Nintendo of Canada?)
Also trying to ignore it because I don't feel like yelling incoherently.
Oh Hey, this is the Fire Emblem thread. Yeah, the butthurt is why I was avoiding this thread for a while...it looks more like FE Awakening, which is the first game that made me actually appreciate this series - not Fire Emblem 1 or 2 or 6 or 7 or 8 or 9 or 11...I've tried so hard to like this series. Awakening was the one that finally threw me a bone. Needless to say, I'm pleased by what I've seen, and I hope they continue in this direction.
@CaviarMeths Fates is getting censored to hell and back. If it doesn't, it will be rated M. Poor NoA though, they'll be under fire regardless if they censor it or not.
NOOOOOOOO! Ok Ubisoft is dead to me. Also I caved. Just pre-ordered the White Kingdom.Won't be here for two weeks but that is better than next year. Fire Emblem is one of the few series I love enough to double dip.

I posted that Iwata Asks before actually reading it, just finished it now. It's really good. I love that they took the criticisms of the shallow story of Awakening to heart and really put a lot of attention and care into the story for Fates. Sounds like Kibiyashi's #1 goal is to emotionally manipulate you throughout the entire game, which I can dig.
Also, I didn't know this and I think it's a cool idea:
A character can take on the class of their spouse. For example, if an Armor Knight marries a Ninja, they can become a Ninja. So people will need to put a lot of thought into their choice of spouse.

I'm not even sure if NoA can censor it, because S level supports are used specifically in the game for child characters. If NoA removes the S level support between siblings in the game, it could also mean the removal of entire characters, which I'm sure wouldn't go over well with fans.
Incidentally, there is also A+ level supports in Fates. The extent of the usage of this support level isn't quite known yet, but it seems to be used exclusively for same-sex characters. It could be gay/lesbian supports, which would differ from regular S level support due to not producing children, or it could just be an advanced form of BFFs. Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII had "sworn brother" relationships between same-sex officers. It could be something like that. I guess we'll know in a couple days when the game releases in Japan.

That's true, but....
There's also a feature, which I think might be accessible in the My Castle thing (not sure on that), that is basically like Pokemon Amie, in which you get to pet the characters that you S-support with. This results into some very lewd dialogue. That part I see getting censored. The incest stuff, well, yeah, you're completely right about.

They might. Personally, I think they can get away with a moderate amount of lewdness under a T rating. Senran Kagura Burst did. There was also some pervy stuff going on in Bravely Default, as well as a subplot involving outright rape. That was published by NoA.
Edit: Oh, looks like we don't have to wait a couple days.
