Currently having some troubles in chapter 17 of Conquest. Got some exp for my unprompted units in a paralogue which has helped, but I'm currently finding that Niles seems to be a little weak despite being promoted at level 20.
The main problems are the enemies though since they are ninjas, my stats are being constantly lowered... (And there are a lot of them)
I went to Gamestop and Walmart and both versions of the game were sold out but I went to Target and they had it. I haven't played it yet but I'm getting excited.
At the same time though I feel kind of bad because now I'm sort of giving up on Mario and Luigi Paper Jam. I never finished it and I can't invest time in too many games at once.
Pay attention to the weapon triangle, and use hard hitting characters. Ninjas have pretty low defense. You could also use Effie/Benny/Xander to tank the ninjas.
@Eat_Pie I have a lot of sword users so that gives me a bit of a disadvantage, I kind of want to train my lower levelled units more, but I may have to switch out Xander with one of them.
This new weapon triangle is still kind of confusing to me, I remember the sword axe lance one, but I sometimes forget what shurikens, bows and magic are.
Or do what I do, associate the colour of the weapons like types in Pokemon. Blue weapons (Lances and Daggers) beat Red weapons (Swords and Tomes) and etc. It makes it much easier to remember the updated weapon triangle lol.
The other is that my wife is on it, which is cool, but I just get like 5% when its the men's turn, and worst of all, they are the same people. I wanna see what others have to tell >.>
I thought at first it was based on the time of the day, but doesn't seem to be the case.

Has anyone tried this? You can get the skills in tbe game easily this way.
Choose "Visit Castle" in the Wireless menu.
Choose "Rankings"
Choose "Battle"
You'll get a list of all the highest ranked castles. People have made castles completely dedicated to being easy to seize with a bunch of really great skills like Sol, Astra, ans Aptitude, among others. Remember, you have to challenge the castle in their own castle, not yours.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
I had no idea you could purchase one version of the game for 20$ if you buy one on the cartridge. So did I waste money buying both versions.
I'm only on chapter 6 but in my opinion, Awakening did a better job of starting the story out. I'm playing Birthright now and the story kind of introduces way too many characters at one time, and they don't give you enough time to get to know them. I just got more attacked to characters from Awakening, like Fredrick, Chrom and Vaike. The characters I've seen so far just seem like typical anime/manga characters and to me, the story hasn't been as engaging as Awakening. It just seems like too many things are going on at once, but again, I'm too early in the game to give a full judgement.

Pick the ones called "Skills" and enjoy having the best skills early.

@Detective_TeeJay
Thanks! I've been looking for a castle like that. @GridAttack
I think only Mozu, the MU, and their kids can have aptitude. Even if it's hacked with Aptitude, the other skills may be legal. Reclassing in this game isn't like Awakening. When you reclass, you stay at the same level. @Rexcalibr
Yeah, you wasted money. You can always return one copy and buy the other one digitally. Fire Emblem's story has never been anything to write home about. However, Birthright, Conquest, and Revelations are a big improvement over Awakening, especially gameplay wise. I haven't played Birthright, so I don't know about their characters, but I liked Conquest's characters.
@Eat_Pie: Well, there's more, just saw a Kiragi with Draconic Hex lol.
And yeah, just realized that when I posted that. Seems a bit cumbersome they made it that way, because if you still want to level up some of your weaker units, even after the level cap, you need the eternal seal which is overpriced.
Seems like the perfect plan to make people buy Ghostly Gold :v

I guess we'll have to be careful when buying skills and make sure the skill is learnable for the character. You could always use a Master Seal to make the weaker units stronger once they hit the cap.
@Eat_Pie: Yes, the thing is, once they are in the promoted class at level 20, you pretty much need to spend money on those expensive eternal seals if you want better stats (My Unit has 9 in resistance...so yeah)
@TingLz: Oh, I see. That kiragi might have purchased the skill from another one that had that criteria. But yeah, things like aptitude on other characters that are not the Avatar, Mozu's possible husband or her possible children are hacks.
Speaking of aptitude, I wonder if other units (Specifically the females) can get the villager class if they reach A+ support with mozu? The villager class doesn't seem to be the special class that it was in Awakening.
