Topic: Finally got a 2DS

We got a little bit of extra cash this week ,and my wife knew i either wanted Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze ,or a 2DS w/ a game for my birthday in march. I didn't think she'd actually buy me a 2DS considering we just got a Wii U for xmas. I was telling her today about that Pokemon promo on club nintendo. And, she ended up buying me a blue 2DS with Zelda Link Between Worlds.

You're probably saying why not just get a regular 3DS ,but the thing is ever since my old ds lite busted a hinge i never been a fan of that hinge design plus i never really got into the 3D feature of the system so it made no sense to spend extra on a feature that isn't useful to me.

My question is though i used to have a DSi XL ,and i had Dark Void Zero ,and Shantae on it. If i link my club nintendo account with those purchases tied to it can i redownload those games on my 2DS ,or without the original system am i screwed?

You could do a system transfer, which would allow you to move all of your Dsi games to your 2Ds.

It takes a hour or so, though.

no it wasn't moorpheel i'm going to get mario land 3d on the eshop later because our local gamestop didn't have a copy of it. The only games they had for the promo was lego city, animal crossing ,and mario kart. I like mario kart ,but i wanted an adventure game for my first game. The birthday surprise was spoiled when the wife had to call me to ask me what i wanted aside from mario land.

Pichubby don't you have to have the original DSi system? I don't have it anymore i sold it 2 years ago. It sucks but i think im going to have to rebuy shantae risky's revenge ,and dark void zero.I also had Zelda 4 Swords Anniversery from the first give away ,and now it looks like i missed its second giveaway which sucks. I seen they moved the DSiWare to the Eshop which is really nice.

I noticed the Eshop on here isn't the easiest thing to navigate though. i had to really dig to find some of the stuff i wanted to look at today. I'm waiting till tomorrow to register my system ,and link my club nintendo account so that way i'm eligible for that pokemon giveaway.

I never played Pokemon before so i think getting it for free is a good way to start LOL.

Yeah i was expecting her just to come home with donkey kong country since she said she really interested in playing it. So i was surprised when she called me ,and said hey i'm getting your 2ds ,but they dont have mario what else do you want. Hopefully i can pull enough extra cash before the end of the month to grab mario land 3d on the eshop.

I miss the days of being a teenager and i would get like a 100 to 200 from all my grandparents. Now that they are all passed on i don't get any surprise birthday money unless my inlaws feel generous ,and give me a couple of bucks for my birthday this year. Getting old going to be 30 this month yet i'm still like a big kid LOL.
